When I lost my darling little Bella in 2019, I made a ceramic urn to keep her ashes in. It sits in my studio to this day, and brings me comfort knowing she’s still close by.

About Chow Bella Urns

Each Chow Bella pet urn is made to order, by hand, in my Hampshire studio. I’ll work closely with you throughout the process to ensure the urn is just right. We’ll discuss your wording, layout, and any special touches you’d like to include.

Urns can feature:

• A photo of your pet

• Their pawprint or nose print (if available)

• A name, dates, or a short message

The urn is glazed inside and out with a clear finish, and made from scratch using British clay. They are not sealed, so you can place your pet’s ashes inside when you're ready — though you’re welcome to seal the lid yourself if you wish.

What’s Included

I believe that pricing should reflect the care and work involved — not take advantage of people at their most vulnerable. That’s why each urn includes:

• Handmaking your urn from raw clay (no bought-in bisque)

• Full design consultation and up to 2 rounds of layout proofs

• A photo, pawprint, or wording on the front and back, if desired

• Personalised artwork printed as high-quality ceramic transfers

• Three rounds of kiln firing

• A handwritten condolence card

• Free UK delivery in protective, biodegradable packaging

What Size Do I Need?

To help you choose the right size, here’s a general guide based on your pet’s weight:

• Small urn (~15cm high): For pets up to 13kg (e.g. cats, smaller dogs like cockers)

• Medium urn (~18cm): For pets up to 20kg (e.g. spaniels, smaller collies)

• Large urn (~20cm): For pets up to 37kg (e.g. labradors, retrievers)

If you’re unsure of the right size, or your pet’s weight doesn’t quite fit the above, please get in touch. I can adapt the size to suit.

How It Works

1. Place your order and then email me at [email protected] with your photos, pawprint (if applicable), and wording.
   Unsure of size? Let me know your pet’s breed and weight and I’ll advise you.

2. I’ll send you digital proofs (usually within 7–10 days), including a layout and a mock-up on an urn. You can request changes, and nothing goes ahead until you’re happy.

3. I will handmake the urn, dry it, and order your personalised transfers. These are applied after the glaze is fired, and then the urn goes through one final firing.

4. Your urn is then carefully packed using biodegradable materials and posted via a tracked delivery service.

Delivery & Timing

All urns are made to order from scratch. Please allow 4–5 weeks from the date of your order to dispatch. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process.
