Meet Gwendolyn, the youngest of the king’s three daughters. Despite her big heart and love for baking, Gwen is living proof that princesses don’t always have it all—unlike the typical fairytale princess, or other princesses in the Pastel Kingdom, Gwen isn’t particularly attractive. While her sisters have woodland creatures do their hair and makeup, and flowers blossom wherever they sleep, the youngest princess is just a bit . . . different.
When her father proposes marriage for Gwen and her sisters in hopes of building an alliance with the Plaid Kingdom, Gwen’s heart shatters when she overhears Prince Frederick call her “ugly.” Ashamed and overwhelmed, she runs away into the forest, where she discovers the twisted and enchanted world of the Cursed Princess Club—and her life will never be the same.
After joining the Cursed Princess Club, Gwen realizes that fitting into conventional standards is overrated. But when she discovers one morning that she can no longer see her reflection—just a large black hole where her face should be—all her insecurities come rushing back. With the help of the Cursed Princess Club, and a visit to a group of princes who have shunned society due to their lack of self-esteem, Gwen hopes to discover her true beauty.
