Cetrimide Agar Base
A modification of the medium described by Brown and Lowbury, Cetrimide Agar is used to selectively cultivate Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The quaternary ammonium compound Cetrimide allows the growth of this species while suppressing that of Gram-positive and some Gram-negative microorganisms. Magnesium Chloride and Potassium Sulfate enhance the production of the iron chelators pyoverdin (yellow-green or yellow-brown fluorescent) and pyocianin (blue), whose combination produces a characteristic bright green color, by P. aeruginosa. Pancreatic Digest of Gelatine provides nitrogenous compounds, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals for bacterial growth. Agar is the gelifying agent. There is a choice of 3 sizes - 500g, 2kg, and 10kg.
PREPARATION: Mix 45.3 grams of the medium and 10 ml of glycerol in one liter of purified water until evenly dispersed (add glycerol while heating to facilitate drainage from the pipette). Heat with repeated stirring to dissolve completely. Distribute and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

Great Swiss Watch

High build quality. Super smooth movement. I've found that it loses time a lot faster than many of my Japanese automatics. The color options are great, but I wish there was more bracelet color diversity. High quality steel doesn't scratch easily. The date complication is awesome.
