An original artwork by Bob Barker, ‘All Fingers & Thumbs’ was created as a heartfelt tribute to the late Lawrie Williamson (1932–2017). The celebrated British artist was known for his evocative oil paintings, watercolours, pencil sketches, and occasional pastel work, often depicting scenes from rural England and Irish life. Lawrie, a cherished friend and artistic companion of Bob's, shared countless days in the studio with him—painting together, exchanging ideas, and enjoying the easy rhythm of creative camaraderie.

Following Lawrie’s passing, Bob was inspired to create several pieces in his friend’s distinctive style, as a tribute to the memories they shared and the artistic bond over the years.

Inspired by the Yorkshire mill towns that shaped his youth, Bob Barker is known for his 'Northern Impressionism' style. Whilst celebrating the bonds that can be created through shared experiences, a major inspiration for Barker’s work is the unique light from the North of England.

Depicting touching childhood, family and romantic scenes, his nostalgic and charming artworks feature his signature neutral palette of greys with splashes of vibrant colour and a unique inner glow created by the manipulation of light and shadow. With the progression of a muted palette, with black and white in transparent glazes to let the muted sepia tones shine through.
