Oh! to be in England
And so with the appearance of a letter announcing the imminent arrival of Madame Dupont, Pop and Ma Larkin learn that little Oscar and Blenheim - Charley and Mariette's new boy - are to be christened. In fact, once Mr Candy - who will be officiating (much to raven-haired Primrose's delight) - learns that Pop and Ma have neglected the entire Larkin brood, the whole family seems set for a dunking!

Pop, who needs no excuse to open a few bottles of Dragon's Blood and host the perfick party, rushes out and buys a fun fair to celebrate. But there are one or two gatecrashers even Pop hadn't counted on turning up . . .

A Breath of French Air
'I should like to go to France,' said Ma.

'God Almighty,' Pop said. 'What for?'

'For a holiday of course,' Ma said. 'I think it would do us all good to get some sun.'

And so at the end of a rainy English August the Larkins - all ten of them, including little Oscar, the family's new addition - bundle into the old Rolls and cross the Channel to escape the hostile elements.

But far from being the balmy, sunny and perfick spot Ma Larkin hoped for, France proves less than welcoming to an eccentric English family. The tea's weak, the furniture breakable and the hotel manager is almost as hostile as the wind and the rain they've brought with them! And when the manager learns that Ma and Pop are unmarried yet sharing a room under his roof, the trouble really begins . . .

When the Green Woods Laugh
And so Pop Larkin - junk-dealer, family man and Dragon's Blood connoisseur - manages to sell the nearby crumbling, tumbling country home to city dwellers Mr and Mrs Jerebohm for a pretty bundle of notes. Now he can build his daughter Mariette the pool she's long been nagging him for.

But the Larkin's new neighbours aren't quite so accepting of country ways - especially Pop's little eccentricities. In fact, it's not long before a wobbly boat, a misplaced pair of hands and Mrs Jerebohm's behind have Pop up before a magistrate . . .

The Darling Buds of May
'Home looks nice. Allus does though, don't it? Perfick'

And so the Larkins - Pop, Ma, Mariette, Zinnia, Petunia, Primrose, Victoria and Montgomery - return from an outing for fish and chips and ice cream one May evening. There, amid the rustic charms of home, they discover a visitor: one Cedric Charlton, Her Majesty's inspector of taxes.

Mr Charlton is visiting to find out why junk-dealer Pop hasn't paid his tax - but nothing's that simple at the Larkins. Mariette takes a shine to 'Charley' - as Pop calls him - and before long the family have introduced the uncomplaining inspector to the delights of country living: the lusty scents of wild flowers, the pleasures of a bottle of Dragon's Blood, cold cream dribbled over a bowl of strawberries and hot, hot summer nights.

In fact, soon Charley can't see any reason to return to the office at all . . .

A Little of What You Fancy
'Teetotal!' Ma said. 'It's a libel. He'll never live it down. He'll never be able to hold his head up again. Whatever will people think? What's he going to say when anybody asks him to have one?'

'No,' said Dr Conner.

'You'll have to strap him down,' Ma said. 'You'll have to put the handcuffs on.'

And so after a mild heart-attack - caused by rather too much of what you fancy - Pop Larkin finds himself off the booze, off the good food and off the good life generally, much to his own and everyone's else's horror and upset.

And while Ma tries to find ways around 'doctor's orders', young Primrose is finding her own way round a rather flustered - not to say flushed - Mr Candy ...

Very effective dermaplaning
I was really very impressed with these dermaplane razors. At first, I thought they were a little pricier than what I am used to, but after using them, I feel like they way more effective than others I have used. I thought they did a perfect job of removing all the post-menopause peach fuzzy I deal with. They left my skin smooth and did not leave any type of irritation on my skin. They come in two lengths, but I thought they were both equally easy to use. The handles are a nice, ergonomic shape that is easy to grasp. The blades stayed sharper longer than others. I will be ordering more of these and recommend them.

I like the design of these dermaplane razors
I have been using a different brand that folds in half for easy travel but the drawback was a small and unreliable handle. Not so for these razors – the straight handle allows for a more controlled and steady shave, I don’t have to worry about my razor folding up mid stroke. The blades themselves are a decent length and come in two different sizes. I have been using the larger ones for dermaplaning and touch ups whereas the smaller blades work great for shaping up eyebrows. These are not the highest quality razors, I mean not terrible but I did have one of the razor parts pop off of the handle unintentionally. I feel like $13.99 is on the higher end for 12 razors, I have seen similar blades for cheaper and larger quantity (although they didn’t have the two different sizes).

12 pack derma planing razors
I am a huge fan of derma planing and was quite intrigued by this set of razors. I was curious how they'd stack up to my tried and true disposable razors hat I've been using for years. First, they look and feel pretty nice - definitely nicer than my current ones. I do wish the handles were a lil more grippy because they get slippery very easily if they get wet or if you accidentally get oil/lotion on them. There isn't any indication of how many times you can use each razor or if they're only single use. There are two different sized razors included, but I'm not sure what the smaller ones are for - I wish they'd include some instructions! Currently priced at $13.89 for 12 razors, I find the price to be too high for what you receive. They are nice razors, yes, but they are not premium quality.

Effective dermaplaning wands
These razors work really well for removing my peach fuzz. I have a fuzzy chin and hair on my knuckles that’s hard to get off with a larger razor. These come in two sizes for precision dermaplaning. I apply some jojoba oil to my skin before dermaplaning and there is no irritation. I love the frosty translucent handles, they look clean and professional. There are twelve to a pack and they come in a little box to keep them all together. These are a great value for the quality.

Fast & Easy
These work really good. I have been waxing for over 20 years and I just wanted to try something new. This set comes with two different sizes. I used the large blade for my chin and lip. And the smaller blade for my eyebrows. The handle is sturdy and not flimsy. Comes with a case. I already stuck one of each in my travel bag!
