This is a depiction of the Carina Nebula, one of the first images from the James Webb telescope. We believe this may be where stars are born, and as soon as I saw it, it made me think about how incredibly vast God's knowledge and power is. The more we learn, the more we realize how little we know. God created this (Carina Nebula), and we are just barely discovering it. And yet, he also created me. And you. Tell me how it is possible that he created universes and galaxies and such vast expanses, and he also knows ME, and he loves ME? And he also lets me talk to him anytime I want. A God that good, that can be so infinited and intimate -- I can worship a God like that. As I look at this painting, it makes me feel a sense of awe and gratitude for God's goodness and loving kindness, as well and encouraging me to learn what my place is in this universe.
