“Ahinsa barefoot shoes aren’t just healthy for your feet, they’re good for your whole body. The results of measurements taken at Masaryk University showed that a foot in an Ahinsa shoe leaves almost the same footprint as a completely bare foot.”

Barefoot Line: Free your feet

Have you ever noticed how your shoes have a completely different shape than your feet? Ordinary shoes restrict and cramp your feet, so you can’t wait to take them off at the end of the day.

Try wearing barefoot shoes, which give your toes the natural space and flexibility they need. In Ahinsa shoes, every step you take becomes a gentle massage for your feet — and your brain. Did you know that walking barefoot stimulates brain centers?

And that’s not all. Wearing barefoot shoes also:

  • Activates your entire kinetic chain
  • Engages your core stabilization system
  • Supports the function of your internal organs

Wear shoes that respect the natural shape and elasticity of your feet.

Never worn barefoot shoes before? Give our Comfort Line a try first. These shoes come with foam insoles to soften each step. Once you’re ready to transition to barefoot, simply remove them.

Ethical CF+ material: Keep your feet dry

Whether you’re jumping in puddles with style or climbing up a hill in the heat of summer — your feet will always stay dry.

Our shoes are made from the highest quality European material CF+ (Cruelty Free High Performance material). The outside stays dry while the inside absorbs and reduces moisture.

Even better? CF+ is extremely durable. You can scratch them with a fork (we’ve tried) and you won’t see a thing. Finally, shoes that won’t get scuffed up the moment you wear them outside!

    • Wicks away sweat from your feet
    • Waterproof
    • Scratch-resistant
    • 100% vegan

      Lifo+: Extra flexible German outsole

Your feet have the amazing ability to adapt to any terrain. Bring back your natural range of motion with the Lifo+ outsole. It’s as lightweight and flexible as the sole of your own foot.

Lifo+ soles are also slip-proof, even on wet surfaces. Really, we’ve tested them ourselves.

      • Thin, lightweight sole
      • Reliable even on wet surfaces
      • Maximum flexibility
      • Resists wear (non-slip)

As healthy as walking barefoot, studies confirm

According to research from Masaryk University, your stride is as healthy and natural as a bare foot when you wear Ahinsa shoes.

Studies confirm that Ahinsa shoes engage your foot just like when you walk barefoot. By contrast, ordinary shoes restrict your feet and block their natural sensory contact with the ground.

Do something for your health, today.

One of the best books on shame out there
        Format: Paperback
As a shame researcher and educator, I often refer to DeYoung's book because it is so full of resources and relational tools for clinicians and individuals relating to the neurobiology of shame. It is a very small book with A LOT of information. Many references to the shame research and suggestions for treating shame in clinical practice from a perspective of right brain relationship dynamics. Thank you Patricia!

        Highly recommend.
        Format: Paperback
One of the most helpful, lucid, and comprehensive books on shame I've encountered. This was required reading for graduate school and is now one of my most returned to, dog-eared, and referenced books. Can't recommend enough.

Thorough, clear, enlightening, and inspiring - not often achieved in academia
        Format: Paperback
This is an extraordinarily well-researched manual. It presents for the reader a Catholic-Christian perspective on psychology/mental health which is faithful to the magisterial teachings of the Church and the Christian tradition. So much good will come to the clinician/professor/pastoral leader/student/generally-concerned-citizen who engages thoughtfully with the CCMMP. More to the point, those whom they serve will reap the real harvest. This could be one of the most important books written in this century. Yes. Bold claim. Bolder still and brighter yet the vision of the human person elucidated in this volume. "The glory of God is a human person fully alive" (St. Irenaeus of Lyon) The CCMMP sheds light for the reader to catch that vision of God's image (the human person) in a world so dimmed by confusion. Read this book. Or pick put some chapters that are of particular interest to you and go through those. You'll be glad you did.

Towards a Christian Psychology or Cure of Souls
        Format: Paperback
Mental health professionals will benefit from this comprehensive manual that has been extensively researched, as it provides a way forward in the direct application of the Christian tradition in a therapeutic context. This book restores the authority within psychology back to the spiritual dimension rather than the empiricism and rationalism that is the legacy of the Enlightenment project and consequently of mainstream psychology. An important matter not addressed in this study are the arguably deleterious impacts of the Second Vatican Council (1962–1965) on the hearts and minds of the faithful, not to mention the crisis in religious vocations to which it has led. Therefore, references to the doctrinal teachings of Vatican II (and the contemporary church) should be considered with discernment so that a clear distinction can be maintained between traditional Catholicism and some of its modern aberrations (Coomaraswamy, 2006). Notwithstanding, the book has many strengths that will benefit therapists who are interested in Christian psychology, or the “science of the soul” found within all of the world’s religions. It is by adhering to one of the divinely revealed spiritual traditions that we can gain access to a liberating discernment—“Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32)—which is essential for any integral therapy and healing. -Spiritual Psychology and Counseling, Vol. 7, No. 2 (2022)

tour de force work, written in the Catholic intellectual tradition
        Format: Hardcover
What a masterpiece. I would recommend this book as required reading for Catholics in the helping professions--counseling, social work, clinical psychology, etc. I'm a grad student in Catholic counseling at a non-Catholic institution, and this has been a go-to text in my classes. So grateful to the professors and contributors at Divine Mercy University for their many, many years and sacrifices putting this treatise together. It is going to bear much fruit in the years to come. Thank you!!
