Introducing the Hall 4K 4X4 HDMI Matrix Switch (HSM-44-BX), a cornerstone in Genesis Digital Matrix series engineering that fuses exceptional video quality with intuitive control. In a compact 1-U enclosure, this 4x4 cross-point matrix delivers reliable routing from any of four sources to any of four displays, making complex AV deployments straightforward and scalable. The HSM-44-BX is designed for professional environments where seamless distribution, minimal latency, and flexible outputs matter—from classrooms and boardrooms to control rooms, medical facilities, retail environments, and high-end home theaters. Its standout feature is the ability to deliver simultaneous HDMI and HDBaseT outputs, enabling both local monitoring on HDMI displays and long-distance distribution over standard CAT cables, all from the same matrix. Built to endure demanding installations, this switcher merges robust build quality with a user-centric control approach, allowing installers and end-users to manage sources, routing, and configurations with ease. With 4K capabilities, broad compatibility with popular AV devices, and a feature set tuned for reliability, the HSM-44-BX is a practical, future-proof solution for creating distributed video networks that stay in sync and stay simple.

  • 4x4 cross-point matrix for full routing flexibility: four HDMI inputs can be switched to any or all four outputs, enabling complex source-to-display configurations without signal degradation or latency that disrupts presentations or media playback.
  • Simultaneous HDMI and HDBaseT outputs: each display path can receive both a native HDMI signal and a long-reach HDBaseT-enabled feed, giving you local viewing options while extending distribution to distant rooms or ceiling-mounted displays via a single CAT cable.
  • Compact 1-U rack-mount form factor with professional-grade reliability: designed to fit neatly in standard AV racks, preserving space in equipment rooms while delivering robust performance for day-to-day deployments and event environments.
  • Flexible control ecosystem for installers and users: control the matrix via front-panel operation, RS-232, Ethernet (network/control), and IR, with compatibility for integration into existing AV control systems and automation workflows.
  • Genesis Digital Matrix heritage and scalable architecture: part of Hall Research’s trusted family of matrix switchers, the HSM-44-BX leverages established design practices, firmware stability, and update potential to support evolving installation needs over time.

How to install Hall 4K 4X4 HDMI Matrix Switch with simultaneous HDMI and HDBaseT outputs

  • Plan your AV layout: map each source to the destinations where you want to route content, noting which outputs will be used for HDMI displays and which will leverage HDBaseT extenders if distant displays are involved.
  • Connect video sources: plug each HDMI source (Blu-ray players, computers, media players, etc.) into the 4 HDMI inputs on the HSM-44-BX, ensuring clean, properly shielded HDMI cables to preserve signal integrity.
  • Connect HDMI displays: connect HDMI displays or projectors to the 4 HDMI outputs; verify that displays support the intended resolutions and refresh rates for the content you plan to run.
  • Configure HDBaseT paths: attach HDBaseT receivers to each HDBaseT output as needed, and run CAT cables from the matrix to the remote displays. Use high-quality CAT6a or better to maximize performance and distance coverage.
  • Establish control channels: connect control interfaces (RS-232 or Ethernet) to the matrix and ensure your control system or computer can reach the device on the network or via serial connection. If using an HDMI-CEC workflow, ensure compatibility with connected equipment where applicable.
  • Power up and initial setup: apply power to the matrix and verify the unit boots normally. Access the front panel setup or network interface to configure routing presets, confirm 4K operation, and begin building source-to-display mappings.
  • Test routing and synchronization: switch between different input-to-output pairings to confirm signal integrity across HDMI and HDBaseT paths. Validate color, black level, audio return (if applicable), and lip-sync where relevant to your content across all displays.
  • Save presets and document configurations: create and store commonly used routing presets for different scenes or events (e.g., meeting mode, presentation mode, or classroom lesson). Document the routing matrix so technicians can restore configurations quickly after maintenance.
  • Integrate with control systems: if you’re using an automation or control system, program the RS-232/Ethernet commands to streamline switching, and test automated routines to ensure reliability during live operations.
  • Ongoing maintenance: monitor firmware updates from Hall Research, perform periodic checks on cabling and connectors, and verify compatibility with new source devices or displays as your installation evolves.

Madison Deserved Better
Format: Kindle
Madison was a beta...except she wasn't any longer. She was a late presenting Omega. And she was struggling. She was tall and thin, not tiny and curvy. She was opinionated. She was everything an Omega was not. After suffering through her first heat, her friends took her to Ardor, a club where Omegas came to safely find Alphas. She's not expecting much but then she connects with a sexy beta. And when she meets his Alphas, they set her body on fire. Maybe, she's found her no-strings-attached heat pack. Maybe, she's found something more. I could not connect with the characters in this book, so their story never resonated with me. And there was no love story; there was sex. Grey made it clear from the beginning that he had a true love and it was his beta boy, Rian. He went so far as to reassure Rian “Say the word, I’ll never touch her again. Lucas can put the babies in her. I only need you, beta boy”. So, Madison was there for babies, no emotions needed. Nice. No, thank you. I want the Omega to be the center of their world, not an incubator. Lucas and Rian weren't any better. After her heat, they let her leave. Not one of them made her feel valued. No one gave her a reason to stay or even offered a cuddle. And the sex didn't even come across as mind-blowing. Madison deserved better.

Pretty Darn Good
Format: Kindle
So I’ve been on a omega kick and this definitely hit the spot. Madison was frustrating at times with how she acted towards Lucas, Gray, and Rian. It was like she said towards the end, she didn’t believe she deserved nice things. It would have been nice to hear from her best friends again. They kind of were there in the beginning and the gone except for mention of text messages received from them. I feel like her friends would have been great help in encouraging Madison to go with the pack and never give Brent another chance because he was toxic. I loved Rian. His personality was awesome. His humor. His ability to make Madison comfortable whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And the fact he fell for her and she fell for him first. They are cute together. I do feel like Lucas was the odd man out though. Like Lucas didn’t develop as much of a relationship with Madison. I would have really liked to see more development in the relationship between them. It was also the same with him and Rian. There is really no relationship displayed. Most of the relationship being displayed is between Rian and Gray. Nevertheless, I loved reading about the dynamic that came to fruition during the entirety of this story. Madison finally got her happiness. And Brent finally got punched in the face. Everyone got exactly what they deserve.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat
