An exceptional and highly evocative pair of antique earrings, featuring finely detailed hand-painted enamel portraits depicting a French man and woman wearing black masks, a motif associated with 19th-century masquerade culture, theatrical performance, and romantic intrigue. The expressive faces and painterly enamel work reflect the narrative artistry and craftsmanship prized in early 19th-century decorative jewelry.
Originally created as a pair of 9ct gold cufflinks (circa 1830), these enamels were expertly converted by our jeweler, who added antique diamond surmounts and 18k gold ear wires, transforming them into wearable earrings while carefully preserving the original enamel plaques and their historic character. The diamonds provide a subtle sparkle that enhances the composition without distracting from the painted scenes.
Each earring measures approximately 1.3 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom by 0.75 inches wide and they have a combined weight of 3.15 grams.
The gold components have been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and confirmed with traditional jeweler’s acid testing, authenticating their 9k and 18k composition. In great antique condition, these earrings are rare and compelling examples of early 19th-century figural enamel jewelry, ideal for collectors drawn to theatrical imagery and museum-quality conversions.

Good bowls

These hold up for what I need them to. My child uses them for everything. Have used them for food and cereal. Like that they are good size almost like the plastic ones I have. Put water in them for the cats outside and they held up for a day or so. You get a lot for what u order.
