What is Bioethanol fuel, is it safe ? 

This bioethanol fuel is 96.6% liquid bioethanol fuel and is produced from molasses, a waste by-product of growing sugar beet, making it an environmentally friendly fuel with a low carbon footprint. 

Its designed to be used indoors and outdoors by bioethanol fireplaces and is eco-friendly, smokeless, clean-burning, odourless and ash free and produced under the ISO9001:2015 quality management system, to ensure you a consistent ethanol fuel product every time. The transparent ethanol liquid used is double rectified to 96.6% alcohol for extra purity, after which it is denatured according to EU law, to make it unfit for human consumption. Many of the well known bioethanol fireplace brands, insist on using 96.6% bioethanol liquid fuel in their fireplaces, to ensure correct operation and clean combustion.

Its is classed as a renewable fuel. The products of combustion are heat, water vapour and CO2. Because bioethanol fuels produce no soot when the burn, they can be used in cities that ban burning of solid fuels.

C2H5OH + 3O2 ---> 2CO2 + 3H2O + Heat
(Ethanol) + (Oxygen) ---> (Carbon Dioxide) + (Water Vapour)

Low Odour is 96.6% Bioethanol Liquid Fuel and the following instructions must be followed when used. Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions;
  • Check that your appliance is designed to burn bioethanol liquid fuel, NOT bioethanol gel.
  • Use only as directed in the instruction manual supplied with your fireplace/ burner, adhering to the ventilation requirements stipulated.Wait until the burner is completely cool before refueling.
  • BEFORE LIGHTING: Clean any bioethanol spilt outside the burning area and allow to dry. Return bottles to safe storage.
  • Light the appliance as directed in the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Do not place any objects in the flames and avoid draughts as they can have an influence on the burning process.
  • Never leave small children or pets unattended near a burning appliance.

    Not very itchy, easy to put in your pocket and warm

It doesn't have a zero itch rating but it is very soft. It's surprisingly warm for its weight. Fits easily in my coat pockets. It's comfortable, fits well on both my neck and face as it has some stretch to it. It had a smell when I first opened the package but that went away after a couple of days. I wore it around my neck in 20F and was warm. I would say that using it as a face mask at that temperature would be pushing its limits. I find it to be a good balance between size and warmth for the Kentucky tri-state area in a mild winter. Because of it's size you can easily put a layer over it during extreme cold and it would be well worth the space it takes in your pocket

Its fit is a little tight but not prohibitively so. The color matches that of the beanie. It's too sort to be considered versatile. In wind I had to choose between shielding my neck or my face. I HIGHLY recommend you not machine wash and dry. Hand wash it and let it dry naturally.
