Preparation Guide (The Tradition):

The Curing (The Wash): Fill the bottle with inexpensive red wine or gin and let it sit for 3 to 5 days to "wash" the bitterness from the new wood. Discard this liquid.

The Infusion: Fill the bottle again with approximately 70% Dark Rum, 25% Red Wine, and 5% (or to taste) honey.

Aging: Let it macerate in a dark place for at least 7 days. The longer it sits, the smoother and more flavorful it becomes!
