Celebrating PRS’s 40th anniversary, the Swamp Ash Special is back in the Core line, showcasing an exquisite swamp ash body with a stunning Vintage Natural finish that sets it apart from traditional maple-topped mahogany models. This electric guitar offers unmatched versatility, playability, and dynamic tones, making it a must-have for guitarists seeking the best of vintage warmth and modern performance.

A Masterpiece of Craftsmanship and Tone

Crafted with a solid swamp ash body, the PRS Swamp Ash Special delivers exceptional resonance, clarity, and midrange bite. The lightweight properties of swamp ash, sourced from the banks of the Mississippi River, provide balanced tones with dynamic response—whether you’re playing clean country licks or distorted rock riffs. Complementing this beautiful tonewood, the satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the guitar to age gracefully, developing a vintage-style patina over time.

Unmatched Playability

The Swamp Ash Special features a maple neck with a Pattern Regular profile that strikes the perfect balance between comfort and speed. The 10-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard is adorned with iconic PRS bird inlays and equipped with 22 frets for smooth and precise playability. The bolt-on neck construction enhances sustain and articulation, making every note ring with clarity.

Sonic Versatility at Your Fingertips

Equipped with a trio of PRS pickups, this guitar offers a sonic palette that covers any genre:

  • 58/15 LT Humbuckers (neck and bridge): These pickups deliver vintage-inspired tones with rich warmth and dynamic clarity, perfect for anything from blues to hard rock.
  • Narrowfield Humbucker (middle position): Experience single-coil-style shimmer without the hum, blending characteristics of humbuckers, P-90s, and mini humbuckers for ultimate versatility.

The advanced switching system includes a 5-way blade switch and dual coil-tap mini-switches, giving you access to everything from bold humbucker power to sparkling single-coil tones. This genre-defying range makes the Swamp Ash Special a go-to instrument for live performances and studio sessions alike.

Premium Hardware and Reliability

Designed for professional use, the PRS patented tremolo bridge allows for expressive bends and dives while maintaining tuning stability. The PRS Phase III tuners offer smooth and precise tuning adjustments, ensuring your guitar is always performance-ready.

The book was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. It also arrived early which was great. I recommend this book seller. I read Susan M. Johnson’s other book on EFT, “Hold Me Tight” and found it extremely helpful with my therapy clients. I’m excited to dive into this book too!

This would have been great if an editor worked on it first
Format: Hardcover
As much as I admire Dr. Johnson and her work, the writing is not good in this book. The ideas are very useful but the reader must slog through complex, turgid sentences and multiple grammatical errors to get the points. I wish more writers had good editing and didn’t submit such poor writing for publication. Dr. Johnson is not alone in this criticism. I think many writers have been trained to write circuitous sentences and that results in the reader working unnecessarily hard to grasp the meaning of the ideas. That said, I am very impressed by her use of research that supports her writing and the ideas she presents. I hope that future publications are more carefully edited before they are published, with the reader in mind. And if you wonder if I am uneducated, rest assured that I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and 20 years post license experience.

Great!!!
Format: Paperback
This book I feel really gives a great understanding of key topics and points that would potentially be on the exam. Although vague for some folks, potentially, they would be things to know and keep in mind when considering to cost of such an exam.
