School food programs are about more than just feeding kids. They are a form of community care and a policy tool for advancing education, health, justice, food sovereignty, and sustainability. Transforming School Food Politics around the World illustrates how everyday people from a diverse range of global contexts have successfully challenged and changed programs that fall short of these ideals. Editors Jennifer Gaddis and Sarah A. Robert highlight the importance of global and local struggles to argue that the transformative potential of school food hinges on valuing the gendered labor that goes into caring for, feeding, and educating children.
Through accessible and inspiring essays, Transforming School Food Politics around the World shows politics in action. Chapter contributors include youths, mothers, teachers, farmers, school nutrition workers, academics, lobbyists, policymakers, state employees, nonprofit staff, and social movement activists. Drawing from historical and contemporary research, personal experiences, and collaborations with community partners, they provide readers with innovative strategies that can be used in their own efforts to change school food policy and systems. Ultimately, this volume sets the stage to reimagine school food as part of the infrastructure of daily life, arguing that it can and should be at the vanguard of building a new economy rooted in care for people and the environment.

Dog's favorite toy!
Color: Blue
My dog asks for this toy everyday and sometimes she wants to play with it when it's not vibrating but the shaking feature makes it extra fun for her, but it does require daily charging. She actually fetches sometimes with this toy which is a new development in her play. I take it outside on the grass with her and also inside on the laminate flooring. I like the time out feature so it's not always moving too! Definitely a fan of this product and I hope it lasts a long time for my dog.

Only vibrates...
Color: Blue
It only vibrates. My dog enjoys it, but it doesn't spin or do what you would expect it to do. I essentially bought my dog a vibrator...

Great dog toy
Color: Blue
My dog loves this interactive ball. It is made with great material and the quality is good. It is rechargeable and it's great to take to dog park and also out in my back yard. My dog enjoys it so much . The battery life is great and it is chew resistant. It don't make much noise and that's a good thing. Size is just right for my dog.

PUPPY APPROVES
Color: Orange
Fun interactive toy. I felt this was a little pricey but watching my puppy playing with it is priceless.
She flings it all over the room. As a puppy she chews on it a lot because of teething but there still isn’t a mark on it.
Battery lasts a very long time and requires no replacement batteries just a usb connection.
It is a little noisy so sometimes I let her play with it without turning it on.
All told, it is one of her favorite toys. She is 4 months and weighs 7 pounds, just to give you an idea if it will work for your dog.
