Pick up the SR Standard SR300E 4-string electric bass, and you'll quickly discover that Ibanez didn't sacrifice quality to bring you a value-packed instrument. The experience of playing this SR Standard is much like that of Ibanez's higher-end SR series models, thanks to this 4-string's sleek 5-piece maple/walnut neck, SR4 profile, and comfortable arched nyatoh body. Ibanez's PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups pack a phenomenal punch, while the 3-band EQ with Power Tap creates a vast array of sound-shaping possibilities. Whether you're a beginning bassist eyeing your first quality instrument or a pro who needs a reliable backup, our bassists are among the many who have made the Ibanez SR Standard SR300E an essential addition to their aural arsenal.

Ultra-accommodating SR4 feel

Ibanez's SR line of electric bass guitars has long been considered one of the most comfortable instruments for players who appreciate sleek lines and fast playability. The SR Standard body boasts that iconic, sculpted shape that seems to naturally hug your body without ever getting in the way of your performance. Its SR4 neck features a narrow nut and thin contour, aiding in quick string skipping and moving up and down the fretboard with ease.

Veritable sonic potential

The electronics onboard the SR Standard SR300E deliver a huge palette of bass tones. Ibanez outfitted these SR Standard 4-string electric bass guitars with an active 3-band preamp that also features a 3-way Power Tap switch. These electronics harness the power of the bass's PowerSpan Dual Coil neck and bridge pickups while adding plenty of tone-shifting options. The Power Tap switch changes between humbucking and single-coil performance, plus a blend of the two to further extend the SR Standard SR300E’s tonal ran

Ibanez: a brief history

Ibanez began its life in 1908 as the Hoshino Gakki company in Nagoya, Japan. However, the company didn’t get into the guitar business until 1929, when it started importing Salvador Ibanez guitars from Spain. In 1935, Hoshino Gakki began building Spanish acoustic guitars under the “Ibanez Salvador” name, which was later shortened to Ibanez. Although Ibanez began manufacturing electric guitars in 1957, the company was relatively unknown in the West until the 1960s, when it started producing guitars based on American designs. By the late 1970s, Ibanez stopped producing derivative instruments and began manufacturing the innovative, original guitar and bass designs that the company is now known for. Ibanez is also famous for its effect pedals, most notably the Tube Screamer. We are proud to offer you such a fine line of distinguished musical instruments.

parodies of a classic
Format: Paperback
In Shamela, Fielding gives us the behind-the-scenes true Hollywood version of Pamela's story (and it's tabloid worthy). In Joseph Andrews, Fielding shares the tale of Pamela's brother caught in the same sort of madcap antics she endured.

An Excellent Film
The success of this film is derived from Paul Schrader’s concept for the film and his hiring of his production designer, Eiko Ishioka, a Japanese female artist. The four chapters are presented in a simple setting with ingenious design while telling Mishima’s personal history and development into a Nobel price winning author and martyr for his political beliefs. This blu ray is a new restored 4K digital transfer of the director’s cut. As usual Criterion Collection also included a wealth of commentaries, interviews, a 1985 documentary about Mishima and a booklet. A very best blu ray package if you are interested in the person and subject matters.

Astonishing Movie
This is exactly the kind of movie that would never receive funding today and get within hailing distance of production. This movie was my 'gateway drug' into the dark and fascinating world of Yukio Mishima which is one of those things where, as the saying goes, "If you know, you know." This film is basically a collection of several short films woven together. One is the story of Mishima himself, from childhood up to the morning of his last day. The other shorts are taken from four of his novels, including my personal favorite, 'Runaway Horses'. For the biographical portions of the film, which are mostly in black-and-white, Roy Scheider's narration is excellent as well. All in all, this movie is a beautiful introduction to Yukio Mishima as well as an artistic triumph for Paul Schrader.
