2016 Topps Star Wars: The Force Awakens Chrome Base Set
The 2016 Topps Star Wars: The Force Awakens Chrome base set is comprised of 100 cards. It focuses on retelling the film’s story in its entirety and isn’t just a rehash of the main Force Awakens Series 1 and Series 2 sets. Some new images are included.

Each base card has five different Refractor parallels available in hobby packs:

Refractors – 1 per pack
Prism Refractors – /99
Shimmer – /50
Pulsar – /10
Superfractor – 1/1
All of these except for the base Refractors are hobby exclusives.

In addition to these are Printing Plates. Each card has four different, all of which are one-of-ones: black, cyan, magenta and yellow.

Although the promised premium insert (or hit) comes in several forms, none of the concepts are new. They’re just being given the Topps Chrome spin.

Medallion Cards highlight specific characters, both on the cards and the medal pieces embedded in them. These come in four versions: Bronze (/50), Silver (/25), Gold (/10) and Platinum (1/1).

Autographs are also available. These have Prism (/25), Shimmer (/10), Pulsar (/5), Printing Plate and Superfractor (1/1) parallels. On the ultra-tough side are three different Dual Autographs and a pair of Triple Autographs. Signatures are done on stickers. Mark Hamill, John Boyega and Carrie Fisher are among those signing for the set. It’s also the first set of Star Wars trading cards to have Daisy Ridley autographs live in packs.

Sketch cards are also randomly inserted.

Basic insert themes might seem familiar to those who collected previous Force Awakens sets. They include Power of the First Order (1:12 packs), Ships and Vehicles (1:8), Behind the Scenes (1:4) and Heroes of the Resistance (1:2). And while the overall look may be similar, they have been given the Chrome treatment.

2016 Topps Star Wars: The Force Awakens Chrome basic inserts also have hobby-exclusive Shimmer (/50), Pulsar (/10) and Superfractor (1/1) parallels.
