Greatest Hits is the latest compilation from Kool & The Gang, released October 17, 2025 through Island, Mercury Records, and Universal Music Enterprises (UMe). Marking the group’s first new vinyl release in decades, the collection arrives shortly after their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It brings together twelve of their defining songs, including “Jungle Boogie,” “Ladies Night,” “Celebration,” “Get Down On It,” and “Cherish,” accompanied by a newly written historical essay from one of the band’s longtime collaborators.

Arriving on the heels of the Kool Summer remix EP, which featured contributions from Young Franco, DJ Crazy, and Prince Hakim Bell, the new collection underscores the band’s ongoing relevance. Where Kool Summer reimagined their catalog for contemporary dance floors, Greatest Hits restores their music to its classic vinyl form, emphasizing the warmth and groove that have always defined their sound.

Across decades, Kool & The Gang have remained a bridge between generations of funk, soul, and pop. Their songs have been sampled, celebrated, and preserved in the Library of Congress, while “Celebration” continues to stand as one of the most enduring anthems in American music. I've used these for years, and the only time I've had to replace them is when one gets lost in the hay field. I highly suggest these as replacements for the common tennis balls.

I don’t throw balls distance but right to her. This size and lighter weight assure even when Shazzy is spazzy w excitement, she’ll catch the ball mid air. The green balls are softer, and glow in the dark. In summer we can play well past dusk and I can see them! Her personality shows in the pictures. Playing ball is part of her. These balls are just perfect for her situation. Somehow they disappear, she loves making baskets, puts them in my tractor bucket, or my gardening bucket..then get put in burn pile, trash etc. I keep replacing them because she’d look day and night if we actually ran out!! 🙏✝️👍🏼👍🏼
