Altra partnered with MATRYX® to design a one-piece woven upper incorporating Kevlar — extremely lightweight yet highly protective for technical trail demands. This construction withstands the abrasion and punishment of rocks, roots, and trail debris whilst maintaining breathability. A built-in scree sleeve keeps feet protected from debris entry, particularly useful during technical descents or loose terrain. A zonal fit lock delivers a confident, secure fit, whilst a TPEE sock liner helps improve underfoot longevity across extended mileage.

Vibram® Megagrip Outsole with Compression-Moulded EVA

A Vibram® Megagrip outsole provides grip on any terrain, designed specifically for traction on wet and dry surfaces. This rubber compound maintains confident footing across varied trail conditions — loose gravel, wet rocks, muddy sections, hardpack. The compression-moulded EVA midsole offers lightweight cushioning designed for comfort that lasts across all-day efforts. At 33mm stack height with maximum cushioning, the midsole provides substantial protection from trail impact.
