This limited signature snare drum is the result of over two years of development in pursuit of Kaz’s ideal sound—one that combines sensitivity with deep, resonant shell tone.
The shell features a 6ply maple and 6ply bubinga hybrid construction with a 10mm total thickness, blending maple’s bright, natural tone with the powerful depth of bubinga. Its 6.5” depth contributes to a full-bodied resonance and quick response—core elements of the sound Kaz envisioned.

Finished in a matte metallic gold that evokes the look of a brass shell, this drum is designed to complement any drum kit while attracting attention on stage.

2.3mm Sound Arc Hoop
Paired with TAMA’s original 2.3mm steel Sound Arc hoops that feature an inward-curved design, the snare’s overtones are subtly controlled and these hoops produce a highly focused sound with crisp & sharp attack.

Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snare Wires 
Offering exceptional contact with the head, these snare wires combine crisp articulation with smooth response. And while most snare wires are attached with a standard strap, Kaz’s signature model uses TAMA’s snare cords for increased strength & enhanced sensitivity―Kaz’s personal preference to achieve a wide expressive range.

Inside Sticker
On all TAMA signature snare drums, a special sticker bearing the artist’s signature is placed on the inside of every shell. Kaz’s signature snare drum is no exception. Adding a personal touch, Kaz hand signed every sticker one by one, and each sticker is applied by hand to every snare drum.
