In addition to the standard Volume, Tone, and Drive controls found on typical overdrive pedals, the MXR Bass Overdrive also includes a Clean control which allows the player to blend in a clean signal with the overdrive signal to achieve sweeter, burlier tones that complement the lower frequencies produced by a bass.
A footswitch toggles the overdrive effect on and off with true bypass to retain the instrument's original signal, and a white LED illuminates when the effect is on. The pedal is powered by a single 9V battery or a 9 VDC AC adapter such as the Dunlop ECB003/ECB003E, or a DC Brick power supply (sold separately).
