Frequently Asked Questions
What calibers does this kit clean? The kit covers everything from .17 caliber up through .50 caliber and larger, including common calibers like .22, 9mm, .45 ACP, .223/5.56, .308/7.62, and 12 gauge.
Does this kit include gun oil or solvent? The kit includes two empty oil bottles for you to fill with your preferred solvent and lubricant. This lets you choose your own CLP or dedicated cleaner/oil.
Are the rods steel or brass? Solid brass. Brass is softer than steel and won't scratch your barrel's rifling.
What's the difference between the three utility brushes? Nylon for light carbon, phosphor bronze for moderate fouling, and stainless steel for heavy buildup. Start with nylon and work up as needed.
Can I clean a shotgun with this kit? Yes. The kit includes brushes and mops for 12 gauge and other shotgun calibers.
