Buckingham Nicks is the lone studio album by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, released in September 1973 on Polydor Records. Produced by Keith Olsen at Sound City Studios, the record introduced the duo’s blend of sharp guitar work, intricate harmonies, and folk–rock songwriting. Despite the chemistry on display, the album was a commercial disappointment at the time, receiving little promotion from the label and quickly falling out of print.

The record nonetheless contained several songs that would later become cornerstones in their careers. Tracks like "Crystal" and "Don’t Let Me Down Again" showcased the duo’s dynamic interplay, while "Long Distance Winner" offered an early glimpse of Nicks’ lyrical introspection. Session musicians including Jim Keltner and Waddy Wachtel added texture to the recordings, but it was the partnership between Buckingham and Nicks that carried the album, foreshadowing the sound they would bring to Fleetwood Mac just two years later.

Although largely ignored upon release, Buckingham Nicks became a cult favorite over the decades, widely bootlegged and highly sought after by fans. Its legacy grew significantly after Mick Fleetwood heard "Frozen Love" at Sound City, leading to Buckingham and Nicks joining Fleetwood Mac in late 1974—a move that would transform the band into one of the biggest acts of the 1970s. After decades of demand, the album has finally been remastered and will see an official release on CD, vinyl, and streaming in September 2025, distributed by Rhino Records.
