The High Tech Battery Kit includes one or two 12-volt batteries and a charger. This is ideal for Power Pet Doors located too far from an outlet or if your home is prone to power outages. As only the cord is included with the original door, this High Tech dog door battery kit allows you to keep one charged in the power dog door at all times and one backup battery charged in the charger.  Depending on the extent of usage, the batteries will need to be rotated approximately every two weeks.

If you are planning to run the door strictly off battery power, you would want to choose the option with 2 batteries as the high-tech battery solutions so that you will always have one charged and ready and one running the door.  The use of a charger and battery kit eliminates the cord needed and ensures usability during power outages.

If you only need a battery replacement kit, you can purchase one individually. This battery and charger only works for the High Tech Power Pet Electronic Pet Door and is not compatible with other electronic or automatic pet doors.
