A time when hidden pubs and hushed indulgences were something of an unspoken fact, when prohibition stilled the bars and alcoholic libations were deemed unlawful.

A notion many of us, Cloven denizens, felt held a colorful glimpse into the past, taken with the mystique of secret rooms and whispered passwords.
Like Willie O'Herring. Willie thought the idea quite intriguing and decided he would single-handedly design & construct Cloven's very own speakeasy.

It was many years before it's completion but, today, with Willie himself tending bar and humoring patrons with stories of it's history, The Hazel has been quite a success.

Found only by those knowledgeable of a certain hazel tree, from which the speakeasy takes it's name, it is an opulent jewel set amongst the earthy and mysterious backdrop of the wood.

Strands of hand crocheted yarn reveal glimpses into an evening amid the secret splendor that is The Hazel.

Rich whiskey tones, olive brown and smoke gray are it's matrix ... sprinkled throughout with a metallic silver spark.

The yarn has a textured look and a soft hand... and will continue to soften with wear.

The scarf itself measures 1-1/2" wide x 132" long.

The fringe measures 8-1/4" long.

This Storyteller scarf should be hand washed and laid flat to dry.
