Hydrosols are steam-distilled plant extracts, they contain the water-soluble constituents of the plant. Calendula contains gentle anti-fungal properties that support healing of fungal conditions like cradle cap and yeast overgrowth. This hydrosol enhances the body’s natural abilities to healing, accelerates skin repair and cellular turnover. Perfect for cuts and scrapes as it helps speed healing and prevent scarring. Calendula is also an amazing face toner because of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Tallow is a healthy fat that is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and omega-3 fatty acids. Tallow absorbs into the skin's layers, similar to sebum, the skin's natural oils. It can prevent dryness and maintain a breathable surface and form a protective barrier on the skin that helps lock in moisture and protect it from environmental damage. This can help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Tallow can reduce inflammation by blocking enzymes that disrupt the skin which makes it amazing for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin and eczema.
