The HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen11 is a scalable, value-driven 1U rack server designed to power virtualization, software-defined compute, and edge workloads without breaking the budget. Built to deliver a balanced blend of compute, memory, and I/O, this single-processor powerhouse brings enterprise-grade performance into a compact, space-efficient chassis. With a single AMD EPYC 9354P processor clocking at 3.25 GHz, generous memory capacity, and a high-speed SSD configuration, the DL325 Gen11 is purpose-built for organizations seeking reliable, flexible, and cost-effective infrastructure that can grow alongside their digital footprint. It’s the smart choice for businesses deploying virtual machines, containerized apps, or software-defined storage and networking, delivering predictable performance, strong I/O throughput, and efficient management in a ready-to-scale package.

  • High-performance compute for virtualization and software-defined workloads: The DL325 Gen11 is engineered to handle multiple virtual machines, containers, and critical applications within a single 1U footprint. Powered by a single AMD EPYC 9354P processor at 3.25 GHz, it delivers robust core performance and memory bandwidth to support dense virtualized environments, data-intensive databases, and agile development pipelines. With 256 GB of RAM, organizations can consolidate workloads, improve utilization, and reduce licensing costs while maintaining responsive performance under heavy load. This configuration is especially well-suited for VDI deployments, test/dev environments, and software-defined infrastructures that demand consistent, scalable compute.
  • Ample, fast storage for data-driven applications: The DL325 Gen11 ships with a total of 3.84 TB of SSD storage, configured as (2 x 1.92 TB). This dual-SSD setup provides strong read/write performance and low latency, enabling quick boot times, fast data access, and improved application responsiveness. Coupled with a 12Gb/s SAS Controller, the system offers high-throughput internal data paths, enabling efficient streaming of large datasets, rapid backups, and smooth operation of database-backed workloads in a compact form factor.
  • 1U density with scalable I/O and connectivity: This model packs powerful capabilities into a single rack unit, delivering a dense, space-efficient platform ideal for data centers, remote offices, or edge deployments. The 1U form factor reduces rack footprint while preserving enterprise-grade reliability and expandability. The DL325 Gen11 is designed to work with common virtualization and cloud-native stacks, providing a scalable foundation for expanding workloads as business needs evolve, whether you’re growing memory, storage, or networking capacity over time.
  • Reliability, efficiency, and smart management: HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers are engineered for reliability and ease of management. The “Smart Choice” designation signals a balanced, cost-effective option without sacrificing core enterprise features. Expect robust chassis design, long lifecycle support, and streamlined firmware and driver updates that minimize downtime. The platform is built to support secure, remote management and lifecycle automation, helping IT teams deploy, monitor, and maintain servers efficiently while reducing operational overhead.
  • Ideal for diverse workloads across virtualization, edge, and data-driven apps: The DL325 Gen11 is versatile enough to underpin virtualized desktops, mixed workloads, databases, and software-defined storage or networking. Its combination of a capable processor, ample RAM, and substantial SSD capacity makes it a compelling choice for organizations pursuing consolidation, agile deployment, and reliable performance in a compact, cost-conscious solution.

How to install HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen11

Preparing for installation begins with a suitable rack, power, and cabling. Follow these high-level steps to get your DL325 Gen11 up and running efficiently:

1) Unpack and inspect the server, verifying that all components are present and undamaged. Remove protective packaging and confirm the correct model is installed in the rack.

2) Mount the server in a compatible 19-inch rack. Use the included rails or mounting kit to secure the unit firmly, ensuring proper alignment and stabilization to support installation and future maintenance.

3) Connect power and essential network interfaces. Attach a redundant power connection if possible, and connect Ethernet cables to the appropriate network switch ports. Ensure network access for remote management and deployment tasks.

4) Power on and configure the BIOS/firmware. Enter the system setup during POST to verify CPU, memory, and storage recognition. Apply any recommended firmware updates to ensure compatibility with operating systems and virtualization platforms.

5) Enable remote management and firmware update tooling. Use HPE iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) for remote administration, health monitoring, and alerting. Configure users, roles, and access controls to secure administrative rights, then set up lifecycle management workflows to simplify future updates.

6) Install the operating system or hypervisor. Depending on your workload, deploy a modern hypervisor (such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or KVM) or a supported server OS. Follow standard installation steps, configure virtual networks, and set up storage pools to maximize performance and reliability.

7) Validate performance and redundancy. Run baseline benchmarks and health checks, verify memory and storage configurations, and confirm that redundancy features (where applicable) are functioning as intended. Schedule regular maintenance windows to keep firmware and drivers current.

Great chair, only one issue.

As someone who is exactly 6ft tall, this chair is just about perfect for my height and body type. High quality materials, adjustable lumbar support, very ergonomic. Visually, it works well with my desk setup. It has already helped me improve my posture ten-fold. My only complaint might be that the tension on the recline joint is too much. Twisting it to the loosest setting doesn’t feel loose enough, you’ll need to put your feet up on something to recline comfortably and stay in that position. Other than that, great chair. I don’t see myself returning this one.

Get this chair if it is on sale for $100 or less!
Number of Items: 1
I am a 180lb, 5'8" tall male. I needed an office chair that would support and cover my entire back, shoulders, and neck, while locking at 90° upright, and allow me to sit with my hips over knees (slightly) with my feet flat on the floor. I also needed the arms of the chair to support my arms and shoulders in a neutral resting position, as well as move up and out of the way. This chair did all of that for just over $100 and next day delivery. I'm happy with it and will be keeping it long term. Build time was 20 minutes. All needed tools and materials were included. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Components appear to be properly made, well fitting, and durable. Everything works properly. The arms are the proper height for me. The seat cushion and lumbar curve are good. The wheels fit through doorways just enough. The seat height can be set both adequately low and high for my height and needs. The tilt sensitivity is adjustable via a knob under the seat. The position lock works properly in the upright position. The only cons for me: Position lock is not available in recline. The neck support is not padded enough and uncomfortable to rest your neck against for long. The neck support mechanism cannot extend closer to or further away from the back of your neck. It can only be moved higher or lower. The mechanism can also be tilted up or down to change its angle. This chair is worth the $100 I paid.
