The NA4 steps up from the NA2 with a triple-layer shielding architecture — double aluminum shield plus high-density copper braid — and newly developed high-purity OFC conductors. It's the level where the improvement over standard Ethernet cables becomes immediately apparent in systems that aren't particularly resolving, not just in reference-level setups.
The Shielding
Three distinct layers: the first aluminum shield addresses high-frequency interference with flexibility that allows it to wrap cleanly around the internal structure. A second aluminum layer adds additional coverage in the same frequency range. The high-density copper braid handles broad-spectrum shielding with particular effectiveness in the audio band. Together they create a noise barrier that significantly reduces what reaches your streamer from the network.
Noise-resistant die-cast connectors add another layer of protection at the termination points — the weak link in many otherwise well-built cables.

We've compared the NA4 against the NA2 in our system. The improvement is real: the background is quieter, low-level detail is more accessible, and the bass has more definition. Not subtle in a resolving system. The NA4 is where we'd start the AIM conversation for most listeners.
