Students explore architecture, life science, simple machines, and engineering design as they use 3DuxDesign materials to reimagine, redesign and build a model of the Zoo of the Future. This kit comes with the complete Zoo Challenge curriculum with educator guides, student booklets, and step-by-step video tutorials for five different animal habitats within a community zoo project.
The learning journey culminates with a capstone challenge where students put their design thinking and innovation skills to the test, working to plan, build, and present their own creative zoo exhibit that meets real world needs. Along the way, learners apply math, geometry, measurement, and financial literacy skills while integrating art, design, technology, and literacy through flexible cross-curricular extensions.
The experience is multimodal and flexible, meeting learners wherever they are in their development. Adaptable for diverse learners, from fine motor to executive functioning, career exploration to building communication skills, this project allows facilitators to nurture growth and inspire creativity in every student.
