With Moroccan pigments and Vietnamese paints, Mazzucco’s pieces are characterised by the juxtaposition between wildlife and cultural photography, this incredible piece forms part of his introspective collection Grass Roots 2023. “Kioo” means “Mirror” and was born from the artist’s feeling around reflection, particularly within oneself. The original bright colours occurred very naturally with the turquoise blues and reds, which was different from monochromatic feel from previous collections. The Brazilian woman featured in the piece, named Paula, represents the celebration of humanity and life, and how one lives in their environment. The rich bright colours of red, orange and blue bring life into the art, representing the vibrant Brazilian culture through layers of photography, paint, and resin. Inspired in the Amazonian culture, this fine art print is full of brightness, life, light and colour with an exotic tribal feel.
