Black Box DKM FX KVM Extender Transmitter

The Black Box DKM FX KVM Extender Transmitter is a cornerstone for modern, high-performance KVM deployments. Designed to work within the DKM FX modular ecosystem, this transmitter interface card extends visually lossless DisplayPort signals over CATx copper while preserving image fidelity, color accuracy, and real-time responsiveness. It brings enterprise-grade KVM capabilities to control rooms, broadcast studios, data centers, and command centers where distance, latency, and reliability matter as much as image quality. By integrating seamlessly with the DKM FX Chassis, this transmitter enables scalable matrix switching and centralized management without compromising the user experience.

Engineered for professional environments, the transmitter focuses on delivering precise input/output synchronization across multiple endpoints. The combination of high-resolution DisplayPort transport and USB HID connectivity ensures that operators can control distant sources and interact with them just as if they were sitting at the source. The result is an efficient, space-saving, and highly adaptable KVM solution that suits both single-user remote access and complex multi-user configurations. With the DKM FX KVM Extender Transmitter, you gain a dependable link between local workstations and remote displays, keyboards, and mice, enabling fast decision-making and smooth collaboration across rooms and campuses.

Technical Details of Black Box DKM FX KVM Extender Transmitter

  • Product type: Modular KVM Extender Interface Card (Transmitter) designed for use with the DKM FX Chassis.
  • Video interface: DisplayPort signal extension over CATx copper, enabling high-resolution video transmission across distances supported by the KVM system.
  • USB connections: Two USB HID ports for keyboard, mouse, and compatible input devices, enabling seamless peripheral control over the extender link.
  • Transmission medium: CATx copper cables (distance and performance dependent on cable category and system configuration).
  • System integration: Fully compatible with the DKM FX Chassis to support matrix switching and centralized routing of multiple displays and input devices.
  • Form factor: A modular interface card designed to slot into the DKM FX chassis, enabling straightforward expansion within an existing KVM matrix.

How to install Black Box DKM FX KVM Extender Transmitter

  • Prepare the chassis and workspace. Power down the DKM FX chassis and ensure you have a clean, static-free workspace. Gather the transmitter card, CATx cables, DisplayPort source and display at the two ends of the chain, and a keyboard/mouse setup to test the HID ports.
  • Insert the transmitter into the DKM FX chassis. Open the chassis, locate the appropriate PCIe-style or modular slot for the DKM FX KVM Extender Transmitter, and firmly seat the card. Secure it as required by the chassis design to ensure reliable operation and proper contact.
  • Connect the DisplayPort input. Attach the local DisplayPort source (the computer or equipment you want to control remotely) to the transmitter’s DisplayPort input using a standard DisplayPort cable. Verify a solid connection and signal health before proceeding.
  • Attach CATx cabling. Run CATx cable(s) between the transmitter and the corresponding receiver(s) in your KVM matrix. Use cables that conform to the supported category standards for the system to maintain signal integrity.
  • Connect USB HID devices. Plug your keyboard, mouse, and any other USB HID peripherals into the transmitter’s two USB HID ports. This allows peripheral signals to be transmitted across the link to the remote workstation and returned to the local operator as needed.
  • Power up and test the link. Reinsert any chassis covers, apply power, and boot the system. Use the matrix switching features of the DKM FX Chassis to route the video and input signals to the desired receivers, then verify that the remote displays show a clean, lossless DisplayPort image and that input devices respond promptly.
  • Troubleshooting basics. If video is not visible or peripherals do not respond, check: the CATx cable integrity, DP cable connections, proper seating of the transmitter in the chassis, and that the DKM FX Chassis is configured correctly for matrix routing. Consult the chassis’s management interface for status indicators and port configurations.

Additional installation considerations

When deploying the DKM FX KVM Extender Transmitter within a larger environment, consider cable management, heat dissipation, and power planning to preserve performance and reliability. In broadcast and control-room settings, you may want to document the routing map of DP feeds and USB HID endpoints to simplify future expansion or reconfiguration. The modular design of the DKM FX system makes it straightforward to scale from a few endpoints to a full matrix with multiple sources, displays, and user workstations, ensuring that your deployment can grow with demand without requiring a complete rebuild.

Great Home Printer
Style: WF-3823
I have only had this printer for two days now, but I love it! It was very easy to set up. There are no cables from the computer to the printer, because it is done wirelessly. I had some jobs ready for copying. The first feature I tried out was the top multi page feeder. I put in 18 pages and decided I wanted to copy them from one sided to two sided. The touchscreen was extremely user-friendly, and it was easy to figure out how to go from one to two sided. As it started copying the papers, it worked quickly for a home printer, and The printer/copier pulled the first page back and printed on the back and then went onto the next page without any problems. The next job I needed done was taking two pages and printing them on the same side of one page. Again, I was impressed with how easy it was to find exactly what I needed to do on the touchscreen, And then what made it even better was it automatically adjusted the size that I needed in order to fit both papers on one side of a single page. The third job I had to do was scan a document in order to email it to somebody. I do not have it set it up to scan directly to an email, but that is an option you can set up. I had the system set up on my computer to scan and send it to my computer. I was surprised how easy that was to do as well. I also had to print two documents from two different phones, and it was a breeze. I am extremely pleased with this product, and I would recommend anybody who needs a simple home printer/copier to look into this product.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 is a solid choice for everyday use. The 6.7” AMOLED screen with 90Hz looks bright and smooth, perfect for watching videos and browsing. Performance is decent for daily tasks, and the 50MP camera takes nice photos for the price. Keep in mind it’s not built for heavy gaming, but for calls, apps, and social media it works very well. Big, vibrant display Good camera for the price Not for heavy use Overall: great value for a budget smartphone.

Budget-Friendly Powerhouse With a Premium Feel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Color: Black, Color: Black
I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy A16 4G for a little while now and honestly this phone surprised me in a good way. For the price, you get a huge 6.7” AMOLED display with smooth 90Hz refresh rate that makes videos, scrolling, and everyday use feel way more premium than expected. The screen is bright, colorful, and looks great indoors or outside. The phone runs smoothly for daily tasks like social media, YouTube, calls, browsing, and multitasking. Battery life has been excellent and easily lasts all day for me. The included 25W fast charger is a huge bonus because it charges up pretty quickly. The 50MP camera also takes really solid photos in good lighting with nice detail and color. For an affordable unlocked phone, I was impressed with the overall camera quality. Another thing I liked is the factory unlocked dual SIM support which makes it super convenient for travel or separate work and personal lines. Build quality feels sturdy, the black finish looks clean, and the splash resistance gives extra peace of mind. If you want a reliable Samsung phone without spending flagship money, this is an easy recommendation. Great value, dependable performance, and way more features than I expected at this price point.
