The double-cut Starfire I DC is based on a classic Guild design. Its arched center-block construction supplies the airy, resonant quality of some timeless Guild semi-hollow electrics, while at the same time helping to neutralize squealing and squelching in a loud performance setting. This turns out to be quite an asset onstage, especially for rock music. Standard-sized HB-2 alnico humbuckers — which build off of Guild's iconic HB-1s — supply a warmth and bite that compares favorably to some classic PAFs. Not only that, but push-pull pots unlock a distinct single-coil cluck that suits blues, surf, country, and rock music superbly. This Guild Starfire I DC features a Guild Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar for maximum sustain and tuning stability. Considering its price and pedigree, the Guild Starfire I DC is one of the most appetizing electrics to come out this season. 

Semi-hollow construction

A center-block, semi-hollow construction — hollow on both sides with a solid core running through the center — gives the Starfire I DC electric guitar that classic Guild tone and response without sacrificing live playability. Together with its quality tonewoods, comfortable neck, rock-solid hardtail bridge, and daring modern electronics, the Starfire I DC has all the makings of a professional instrument at a very reasonable price.

With its HB-2 alnico humbuckers, your Guild Starfire I DC serves up a wide range of multi-generational tone.       Thoughtful Easter devotional, though the writing style may not resonate with everyone

      As Easter approaches, I was interested in spending some time with this devotional. One thing I appreciated right away is how Paul David Tripp connects passages from across the Bible to the deeper meaning of Easter. The devotional begins with references in the Old Testament and traces the thread of prophecy forward toward the ultimate sacrifice and resurrection. That connection between early scripture and the events of Easter is an important foundation of the Christian story, and the book highlights it well. What I liked: Carefully selected Bible passages that connect Old Testament prophecy with the Easter story A devotional structure that encourages reflection throughout the season An accessible way to revisit the narrative from prophecy to resurrection Where it didn’t fully connect for me: The author’s narrative style may be a matter of personal preference. His writing is often elegant and reflective, but at times it felt somewhat fragmented or incomplete to me. I personally tend to connect more with a slightly more straightforward, conversational style of devotional writing. That said, this doesn’t mean the book lacks value. Readers who appreciate a more poetic or contemplative tone may find it quite meaningful. Overall: Even though the writing style wasn’t a perfect fit for me, this is still a worthwhile Easter devotional. It provides a thoughtful way to reflect on the journey from prophecy to resurrection and would make a good companion for the Easter season.

      Equally deep and approachable devotional
      Format: Paperback
      This really is an everyday devotional in that it is rich and engaging whether going through it for the Lenten season or any other time of the year. It focuses on the Gospel message from our sin and need for a Savior, through the Lord’s redemptive plan and faithful fulfillment through Jesus. Each daily entry is just two pages, but has a balance of depth and approachability that makes it feel full and spiritually satisfying. The author’s personal stories and way of framing the biblical passages is relatable, and I was immediately drawn into it. I especially like how the devotional begins with the Old Testament scriptures, revealing themes and prophetic pictures that I hadn’t seen before, and then gradually works into the New Testament, even through Revelation! If going through this during Lent, the topics build up the anticipation for Resurrection Sunday and are arranged very meaningfully. The reflection questions are also really good at bringing out deep reflections and a personal response to the biblical passage and thematic focus of the devotional. I’ve made it through most of the devotional at this point, and am thoroughly enjoying it. Highly recommend!

      Love this!

      I recently received this christian daily devotional book and here’s my quick thoughts on it: I think that the condition of the book is great and it doesn’t feel cheap or like it would rip very easily. I think this is a good quality paper and material. I admire this daily devotional book because it is something great to read as soon as you wake up, preparing your day under Christs’ armor. I actually have another daily devotional book which is a year long and it gives encouragement through scripture directly from the word of God. That book is great and it’s amazing reading as soon as I wake up every morning. This book is nothing short of how good that one is and I just love how this one is structured. Overall, I highly recommend this every day Christian devotional book to anyone looking for one and even as a gift for someone! I love this!

      A Beautiful, Gospel-Filled Devotional for Every Season

      I have truly been enjoying reading Everyday Gospel Easter Devotional and applying the teachings to my own life.
