DESCRIPTION The Turbosmart TS-0304-1001 & TS-0304-1002 Diesel Blow Off Valve System is an all-in-one kit for adding a Blow Off Valve (BOV) to protect the turbocharger on your high-performance diesel. Large diesel engines with larger turbochargers can experience compressor surge when letting off the throttle. The deceleration of the engine can be a restriction on the outlet of the turbocharger causing damaging compressor surge. This can be disastrous on a turbo system that is producing high amounts of boost. This Blow Off Valve System can vent this build-up of pressure, protecting the turbocharger. The release of pressure can reduce the number of rebuilds on your turbocharger as well as improve acceleration between gears. This Turbosmart TS-0304-1001 & TS-0304-1002 Diesel Blow Off Valve System features the Turbosmart BOV controller, which is an electronic device that measures and controls the pressure signal to the BOV. The controller activates when it detects a negative voltage change in the throttle position sensor. The BOV controller then energizes a solenoid to vent all the air out of the BOV cap, causing a pressure differential between the piston of the BOV and the cap which will vent pressure from the intake.
