Beautifully simple and functional, our hand-woven tea towels feature a wide border stripe on the edges. Made with a twill weave, they nicely complement the other items in the hand-woven kitchen and table range.

Handloom textiles have been woven by generations of Sri Lankan villagers, using techniques originally taught by temple priests. Our textiles are hand made by our gifted artisan weavers in Divulapitiya, on simple wooden frames, weaving by treading pedals to lift the warp threads, while feeding the bobbin through the weft with amazing dexterity.

We have made a long-term commitment to design training within the community, to embrace the continuity of the craft, and bring new life to this ancient tradition, by blending authentic weaves with contemporary design.
