M-02 is calibrated for normal road temperatures. From a cold first stop in the morning to repeated braking in stop-and-go traffic, the pedal stays linear and predictable. This is a street pad — it is not designed for sustained track sessions, autocross heat cycles, or aggressive HPDE use.
Street compound: M-02 is built for low dust, low noise, rotor-friendly wear, and daily driving comfort. For track, time attack, or repeated high-speed braking, choose a higher-temperature TTSPORT compound.

Street Driving Expectations
Daily Comfort
Low dust and low noise behavior make M-02 better suited to daily driving than aggressive metallic or race compounds.
Spirited Street
Confident bite for backroad driving while staying inside a street-focused temperature window.
Track Limits
Not designed for sustained track heat. Repeated high-speed braking can exceed the compound's intended operating range.
Bedding Procedure
Proper bed-in transfers an even layer of friction material to the rotor and is required for full performance and quiet operation.
- Perform 6–10 moderate stops from about 35 mph down to 5 mph, leaving short cool-down intervals between stops.
- Follow with 2–3 firmer stops from about 50 mph down to 10 mph — firm, but not emergency-level pressure.
- Drive gently for several minutes to allow the brakes to cool.
- Avoid coming to a complete stop with hot pads when possible.
Skipping bed-in is one of the most common causes of squeal, uneven transfer layer, and inconsistent pedal feel on a fresh ceramic street pad.
Rotor Compatibility
- Works with OE or OE-style cast-iron rotors in good condition.
- Suitable for stock replacement rotors and daily-driver iron rotor setups.
- Do not install on heavily scored, warped, cracked, glazed, or below-minimum-thickness rotors.
- Do not mix with an old transfer layer from a very different compound; clean, resurface, or replace rotors when needed.
- Not intended for carbon-ceramic rotors unless TTSPORT confirms compatibility for that exact application.
Installation Notes
- Confirm pad shape, backing plate style, thickness, and caliper compatibility before ordering.
- Inspect rotor condition before installation.
- Clean pad abutment areas and confirm free pad movement in the caliper.
- Inspect caliper pistons, dust boots, guide pins, and brake lines during pad replacement.
- Use clean hardware and torque all brake components according to the vehicle or caliper manufacturer's specification.
- Perform the bedding procedure before aggressive street driving.

Are M-02 pads truly low dust?
Yes. The ceramic street compound is designed to generate noticeably less visible dust than typical OE semi-metallic pads, so wheels stay cleaner between washes.
Can I use M-02 on a track day?
No. M-02 is built for street temperatures. For track, autocross, HPDE, or repeated high-speed braking, choose a higher-temperature TTSPORT compound designed for sustained heat.
Do I need new rotors to install M-02?
Not necessarily. M-02 works well with OE or OE-style cast-iron rotors in good condition. If existing rotors are scored, warped, glazed, cracked, or below minimum thickness, replace or service them before installing new pads.
Will M-02 squeal?

How long is the bed-in?

Defective watch - after 1.5 months of use, time automatically reset every day

I'd only had the watch for about 1.5 months before the time started to automatically reset without any apparent reason. I would set it to the correct time, then before the day was done, I would look down and see that the watch time was drastically incorrect. I've seen at least one other review on Amazon describing this same problem with the Atlantis.
Other than that, as other reviewers have mentioned, the buttons are a bit hard to press but that isn't a dealbreaker in my opinion (you get used to it). If you like the way the watch looks, and want a simple, smaller, lightweight digital watch, the Atlantis is adequate, especially at this price point - assuming it's not defective like mine.

It’s an “OK” watch.

I just received this watch. The watch fits well and is comfortable, light weight and is thinner than others I have had, which I actually like. There is no manual and trying to find one on line is a tall order. I just fiddled around with it to figure it out. Still working on some of the features. It apparently has two time settings which is good if you travel to other time zones without having to reset your time. Just hit the button. Speaking of the buttons, they are pretty tough to push. The display is so-so; some may have difficulty reading it although the numbers for the time are larger. It’s a decent watch but being worth $42 remains to be seen.
I was a bit unhappy to receive the watch in an Amazon paper bag envelope. The box was crushed but the watch was in tact. It really should have been shipped in a box.

Perfect watch

This is the perfect watch for me. No negative issues at all. It's light, comfortable, easy to read, accurate, and tells me exactly what I want to know, even in the dark. I like that the seconds can be reset to zero with the push of a button. That makes it easy to set the time to the second. Battery replacement is simple. No pressing the back on with a watch press. I will agree the buttons are a bit stiff, but then I can't accidentally press 'em by flexing my wrist.

Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking

I love this watch despite the fact that it is really a toy. I love the look of the watch, I love how lite the weight of the watch is on my wrist, and it really does keep good time if you manage the solar charge properly. Other than looking cool on your wrist, this watch has absolutely no functions other than time keeping. The black plastic bezel is molded into the case and does not turn, so don't plan on using that. The watch has no light, the dial numbers are non-luminous and the hands are very limited in terms of luminosity. No buttons. All you can do is adjust the time and date by pulling out what used to be a winding stem in the good old days.
The small tag on the strap with Geographic coordinates shown on it indicate the location of the old Timex manufacturing facility (SW of Waterbury, CT).
I have a nice ledge at my bedroom window and it gets good western sun for a good part of the day regardless of the time of year. On this ledge you will find a half dozen solar powered watches (mostly Casio) properly aligned to maximize the charge they may receive each day. Note that the description for this Timex watch specifically states that a lightbulb won't charge this watch. You need direct sunlight for several hours if you want to get more than a 3-week charge into this watch.
So, I'll leave you with a couple of tips, my friends; 1.) If you are looking for a first watch to give your outdoorsy oriented Son or Daughter, then give them this one. Why? Because it is cool looking, fairly well built, and it actually works, 2.) After you receive your Timex watch, be sure to keep the display mount it is packaged with. It makes a great fixture to mount your watch on for charging and allows you to maximize the position of the solar cells on the dial so that you can optimize charging time.
