The word Tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese term "turmali.”, Meaning stone of many colors. The rarest and most desired colors of tourmaline are the stones in the red spectrum (Rubellites). Rubellite will infuse your life with energies of independence, spontaneity, and resourcefulness. Such stones are normally moderately to heavily included, and it is quite rare to find one that has no eye-visible flaws. This 6.51 carat, precision-cut magenta Brazilian gem is spectacular in every sense of the word. Discovered in 1983, the Ouro Fino deposit that this stone came from was exhausted by 1985.
