The black 4098 CORE Supercardioid Tabletop Microphone with 17" Gooseneck, Base, and Microdot Connector from DPA is a versatile mic engineered for public speaking, panels, conferences, and meetings. The elegant, low-profile design delivers clear, intelligible speech reproduction for demanding professional applications.
The 4098 offers several configuration options; this model's long gooseneck length is well suited to desk or tabletop use. In addition, this version of the microphone is designed for use with wireless systems and terminates in a microdot connector, allowing you to use a detachable adapter to connect to the wireless transmitter of your choice (adapter and transmitter available separately).
The mic requires 5 to 10 VDC for operation; alternatively, the mic can be powered via 48V phantom power when used with the DAD6001-BC XLR adapter (available separately). The included tabletop base fits most electrical back boxes and makes installation quick and easy.
- For use in panels, boardroom applications, and videoconference situations, the DPA 4098 offers trouble-free installation and delivers pristine, clear sound.
- The mic reproduces crisp, intelligible speech up to the standards of demanding professionals and panelists, including interpreters who need to be able to clearly hear a speaker's every nuance.
- The supercardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture tightly on the person directly in front of the mic, picking up less unwanted background sound and helping to reduce feedback when loudspeakers are used for sound reinforement.
- The microphone capsule's consistent off-axis response means that speaking into the side of the mic doesn’t make the audio sound worse, it just drops the voice level.
- Even passionate speakers are no problem for the 4098; the capsule can handle loud speech at peak volumes of up to 133 dB SPL before distortion occurs.
- The factory-mounted foam windscreen helps to reduce breath and plosive noise.
- The 4098 is available in a variety of configurations for use with podiums, desks, and tabletops and the shorter models can be mounted in the ceiling.
- Elegantly designed, the low-profile appearance is well suited to videoconferencing and public announcements.
