Le Tricoteur have been crafting Guernsey jumpers since the 1960's. All of Le Tricoteur's jumpers have been crafted using methods that have been passed down from a long line of local artisan knitters. Guernsey's were traditionally knitted by fishermen's wives and the pattern passed down from mother to daughter through the generations. The use of worsted wool means that guernsey knitwear is extra durable and super weather resistant, springing back into shape after washing or a good soaking in a storm.
