A&S Essential Oils: What makes them stand out?

A 100% natural essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of aromatic plants (or cold pressing for citrus zests). This ancient process, inherited from Grasse perfumers and medieval apothecaries, extracts the concentrated essence of the plant without chemical solvents or industrial transformation.

Each 10 ml A&S bottle represents an average of several kilograms of distilled plants, which explains the product's remarkable aromatic concentration: a few drops are enough to sustainably perfume an entire room. The amber glass protects the oil from ultraviolet radiation, preserving its olfactory qualities for 3 to 5 years depending on the species.

The A&S selection goes beyond the six "standard" oils by incorporating more precious or rarer plants (rose, sandalwood, ylang-ylang) which make up a complete olfactory palette, at the crossroads of classic perfumery and traditional aromatherapy.

THE ART OF AN OLFACTORY LIBRARY
Where a simple discovery set offers an initiation, the A&S collection invites you to build a true olfactory library at home. Choosing the Quatorzette set is like acquiring the aromatic equivalent of a wine cellar or a music collection: a complete palette from which to draw according to your mood, the season, the time of day, or the event to celebrate. Rose and sandalwood for an intimate candlelit dinner. Frankincense and sandalwood for a morning meditation session. Grapefruit and bergamot to start a creative workday. Ylang-ylang and sweet orange for a warm evening with friends. Thyme and lemon for a studious reading session. Each olfactory accord creates a unique atmosphere, each combination tells a story, each diffusion becomes a refined gesture that transforms an ordinary space into an exceptional place. This is ambient aromatherapy elevated to the status of an art of living.

How to create your ambiances in 4 steps

1
Identify your intention What atmosphere do you want to create? Tonic, soothing, meditative, festive, romantic, studious? Choose 1 to 3 oils consistent with your goal.
2
Prepare your diffuser Fill the water tank of your ultrasonic diffuser according to the manufacturer's instructions. For nebulizers and burners, follow specific guidelines.
3
Dose according to the room and the blend 3 to 5 drops for a small room, 5 to 8 drops for a large living room. For a blend, dose each oil proportionally (e.g., 3 drops of lavender + 2 drops of bergamot).
4
Diffuse in short sequences Prefer diffusions of 15 to 30 minutes maximum, followed by a break of the same duration. Ventilate the room regularly to avoid olfactory saturation.

Perfumer's tip: the great olfactory accords. A&S essential oils lend themselves to sophisticated compositions worthy of Grasse perfumers. A few signature accords to experiment with: Lavender + Bergamot (classic English Earl Grey tea accord, cozy and chic atmosphere) — Rose + Sandalwood (timeless oriental accord, sensual and precious atmosphere) — Frankincense + Sandalwood + Ylang (deep meditative trinity, ideal for wellness rituals) — Grapefruit + Mint + Thyme (tonic morning cocktail, perfect for starting an intense day) — Orange + Cinnamon (gourmet winter atmosphere like mulled wine) — Lemon + Eucalyptus + Tea Tree (winter respiratory purification). Note your favorite accords in a notebook to rediscover and refine them season after season.

Optimal storage of your A&S essential oils

Store the bottles away from direct light, at a stable room temperature (between 15 and 25°C), and in their original box in an upright position to preserve the integrity of the droppers. Always close the cap after use to prevent the evaporation of volatile components. Properly stored, essential oils retain their olfactory qualities for 3 to 5 years depending on the species: citrus oils (lemon, orange, bergamot, grapefruit, lemongrass) are the most volatile and lose intensity more quickly (around 2 to 3 years), while woody and resinous notes (sandalwood, frankincense) are the most stable and can last 5 to 7 years without significant alteration.

Important precautions for use: A&S essential oils are powerful plant concentrates that require careful use. Product intended exclusively for atmospheric diffusion: do not ingest, do not apply neat to the skin, do not allow contact with eyes or mucous membranes.

Not recommended without prior medical advice: pregnant and breastfeeding women, children under 6 years old, people with asthma, epilepsy, hypertension, or allergies to terpene compounds. Certain oils (rose, ylang-ylang, thyme, mint, sandalwood) have specific reinforced contraindications. Keep out of reach of children.

Pets: many essential oils (notably tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, lemongrass, ylang-ylang) can be toxic to cats, dogs, and birds. Ventilate the room and do not diffuse in the prolonged presence of animals. If in doubt, consult your veterinarian.

Diffusion: never diffuse for more than 30 consecutive minutes, ventilate the room regularly, and avoid diffusing in children's bedrooms during sleep. Citrus oils are photosensitizing: avoid sun exposure after intensive diffusion. This product is not a substitute for medical treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which format to choose between Trio, Sextet, Octet, Decet and Fourteen?
The choice depends on your experience level and your budget. The Trio (3 bottles) is ideal for discovering aromatherapy without commitment, or as a guest gift. The Sextet (6 bottles) covers the universal palette for balanced daily use. The Octet (8 bottles) and Decet (10 bottles) are for regular enthusiasts who want to enrich their olfactory library with more nuanced scents. The Fourteen (14 bottles) represents the complete collection, ideal for collectors, advanced enthusiasts, or as a prestige gift to make a lasting impression on the recipient.
How are the oils selected for each format?
The sets operate on a cumulative, increasing logic. The Trio contains oils 1 to 3 (Lavender, Peppermint, Sweet Orange) — the three universal pillars. The Sextet adds oils 4 to 6 (Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Lemongrass) to cover the classic olfactory spectrum. The Octet enriches with oils 7 and 8 (Frankincense, Thyme). The Decet completes with oils 9 and 10 (Ylang-ylang, Bergamot). Finally, the Fourteen adds the 4 most precious scents: Grapefruit, Sandalwood, Lemon, Rose. This way, you move up in range without ever having duplicates if you make successive purchases.
Are these essential oils truly 100% natural?
Yes, A&S essential oils are derived from distilled botanical plants (or pressed for citrus), without added synthetic fragrance, colorant, or chemical preservative. Each bottle contains the pure and concentrated essence of the original plant. This purity guarantees an authentic olfactory signature, true to the natural scent of the plant, whereas industrial synthetic fragrances imitate the scent with varying fidelity without reproducing its aromatic complexity.
Which essential oils in the set are the most precious?
Among the 14 scents, some come from rare or difficult-to-distill plants, which makes them particularly precious. Rose requires about 4 tons of petals for 1 kg of essential oil — it is one of the most expensive essences in the world. Sandalwood comes from slow-growing trees (sometimes over 30 years before harvesting). Ylang-ylang requires delicate fractional distillation. Frankincense is harvested by incising resinous trees in specific areas (Oman, Somalia). Bergamot mainly comes from the Calabrian coast of Italy. These 4 to 5 scents alone justify moving up to the Decet or Fourteen set.
Which diffusers can I use these oils with?
A&S essential oils are compatible with all types of home diffusers: ultrasonic diffusers (the most common, mixing water and oil into a scented mist), nebulizers (dry diffusion without water, more concentrated), candle burners (gentle heating in a dish), scented stones, and porous ceramic stones. For ultrasonic, count 3 to 8 drops depending on the room volume. For nebulizers, 5 to 10 drops depending on the desired concentration.
Can multiple essential oils be mixed together?
Yes, that's even one of the great pleasures offered by the complete A&S collection. You can create your own olfactory compositions by mixing 2 to 3 complementary scents in your diffuser's reservoir. Some recognized classic blends: Lavender + Bergamot (refined English blend), Rose + Sandalwood (precious oriental blend), Frankincense + Sandalwood (deep meditation), Grapefruit + Mint (morning tonic), Orange + Ylang-ylang (festive warmth). Note your favorite compositions in a notebook to easily reproduce them season after season.
Do essential oils pose any risks?
Essential oils are powerful plant concentrates that require careful use. They are strictly intended for atmospheric diffusion: do not ingest, do not apply neat to the skin, do not allow contact with eyes. Use is not recommended without medical advice for pregnant women, children under 6 years old, people with asthma, epilepsy, or hypertension. Certain oils (tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, lemongrass, ylang-ylang) can be toxic to pets, especially cats. Citrus oils (lemon, orange, bergamot, grapefruit) are photosensitizing. Ventilate regularly and limit diffusions to a maximum of 30 minutes.
Does this A&S set make a good gift?
This is one of our most versatile gift sets thanks to its 5 formats. The Trio (3 bottles) is suitable as a subtle gesture, the Sextet and Octet as classic birthday or Christmas gifts, the Decet as a more distinguished gift (housewarming, major birthday), and the Fourteen (14 bottles) as an exceptional gift for enthusiasts or to mark an important occasion. Premium presentation ready for gifting, authentic content, accessible price range: all budget profiles are covered. For an even more complete gift, combine the set with an essential oil diffuser to create a truly ready-to-use aromatherapy kit.

First Impressions - Complete Review
Style: ET-4800, Color: White, Set: FAX/ADF/Print/Copy/Scan, Style: ET-4800, Color: White, Set: FAX/ADF/Print/Copy/Scan
Printer Review from an Artist. Printer cost with a 3-year extended warranty - $199.00. Came with four full bottles of Ink. Each bottle was huge, and enough to completely fill up the tanks. In my old Epson printer that used Epson 127 Ink Cartridges a cartridge held 8ml of ink. The cost per cartridge for the XL Black was $31.00 on Amazon. In comparison, a bottle of ink for the tank printer costs $15.00 and holds 65ml. The Epson 127 Ink Cartridge is rated at 175 pages for the XL cartridge and the Tank Printer is rated at 4500 pages per bottle of ink. So, the difference in cost is striking. Unboxing the printer was simple enough. The printer weighs about half the weight of my old Epson printer. The new printer does not have printer drawers but, back feed only. This actually worked out well for me since I was constantly taking the paper in out and out of the drawers when changing paper size. Also, with this direct paper feed, I figure it will handle my heavier weight card stock paper that I use for my art and greeting cards. To my great surprise, the printer offers two-sided printing. This is really handy when printing my Zines. The printer setup was extremely easy as they recommend a phone app, that walks you through each step with pictures. And it communicated perfectly with the phone for the setup. It takes about 15 minutes to completely set up the printer. I have learned to not rush setup. Take your time, and follow the instructions step by step, Which include filling the tanks. Features, * The printer dues Dual-Sided Print - Great for zines. * It has fax capability, but we do not have a landline, so that will not be used. * It does copying, with a document feeder or you can lift the feeder and place the document on the glass. * I mostly use my Epson Precision San copier but it is nice if you wish to make a quick copy of a document. * Some reviews complained about the very small LED display but I find that by using the app or computer I can control all that I need to do. Print Alignment. I did this test but the printer heads did not require any alignment. During the setup process, the program installs the printer driver on my computer. However I found it to be the very basic driver, and I went to the Epson Website and downloaded and installed the latest driver which is very robust and has all the settings that I needed. The printer's footprint is smaller than my old printer. And my old printer had two paper drawers, though I never used the second drawer. Negatives. The output tray is flimsy and seems like it would easily break if bumped when I walked past the printer, so I have to be careful about this. So far I do not see a way of checking the ink levels from the computer. And they said in the instructions to be sure to check your ink levels. You can see on the front of the printer, where you can see the ink levels. When you purchase more ink, you can attach the bottle and it will not overfill the tanks, and you can then use more ink from the bottle later. So I will purchase a complete set of ink and keep it and as it runs low with about 1/4 left in the tank, I will just fill it up. So far I am very happy with the investment and now printing and ink cost is not a major factor. And I figure I will do a lot of printing with this printer when the holiday season rolls around for my greeting cards. As for print quality, I will need to report on this later, though there were no negative reviews of print quality. A test print on regular paper and the colors seemed to be spot on. One note, I still will continue to use my Canon Pro-300 Wide Printer for my Fine Art Prints, but the new Tank Printer will be my studio workhorse.

Frustrating to set up and unreliable
Style: ET-4800, Color: White, Set: FAX/ADF/Print/Copy/Scan
I bought the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 hoping for an easy, low-cost printing solution, but it has been nothing but trouble. The wireless setup is overly complicated, and the printer often loses connection to the network, forcing me to restart it or reinstall the software. Printing is slow, even for simple documents, and the paper feeder sometimes pulls multiple sheets at once. While the EcoTank system is supposed to save money on ink, the print quality is inconsistent — colors can be dull, and black text occasionally appears streaky. Scanning and copying are also sluggish. For the price, I expected something much more reliable.

ET-4800 EZ PZ set up and start up. Prints and scans just fine
Style: ET-4800, Color: White, Set: FAX/ADF/Print/Copy/Scan, Style: ET-4800, Color: White, Set: FAX/ADF/Print/Copy/Scan
An excellent home printer. And why did I purchase such? I had an Epson WF-520 for nearly ten years. But neglect and lack of use caused the printer head to get gunked up. I cleaned the print heads using a solution of 95% Etoh and glass cleaner (about fifty/fifty), a syringe with a plastic tube attached and LOTS of paper towel strips. It was moderately successful but I was never able to get it back to like new printing. I looked over several new printers and wanted to stay with Epson because of ease of use (copy, scanning, printing). Seems as tank printers are the way to go these days. So I ordered the ET-4800. Got here in only a couple of days. Setup was pretty easy, just follow the instructions either via the documentation included or online version. I have pinted and scanned a color test page. I used the built in SmartScan feature without having to think about it much. I am quite satisfied with the results. By the way, there is no automatic two side printing. You actually have to get off your b---, take out the first printing, turn it over and refeed the stack. I was used to doing that with the old WF-520 and never had a problem. I will now set up a once a week, automatic scheduled printing task. I will just have to make sure there is paper on hand. Lack of use is the killer of these inkjet machines regardless of manufacturer.

The intensity of the higher DPI and other settings makes this a marvelous Printer.
Style: ET-4800, Color: White, Set: FAX/ADF/Print/Copy/Scan
I am a former Canon product user for years. I became disappointed two printers ago. Support is horrible. So, I ordered this Epson. Initially, because of the differences I was somewhat confused on the set-up; however, once completed, I can completely endorse this product. The printing is absolutely tops. The ink system is fantastic. AND, it has fax capabilities which I tested and works great. Can not say enough good things about it. I specialize in historical photo and documentation restoration - and this printer works GREAT.

It’s about support more than anything else !
Style: ET-4800, Color: White, Set: FAX/ADF/Print/Copy/Scan
Printer worked great until it didn’t. Cleared a paper jam that kept giving an issue. Then it gave a scanner error, after paper jam was resolved. I called support; they gathered all my info. Transferred me to someone else who then told me she’d email me some numbers to call for deals on refurbished printers or onsite support. I ended ups solving the problem… I threw the printer in the trash, and will likely not buy anymore epson products. I was willing to pay for service but not waste more time and making more phone calls. I had a credit card; i was willing to use it.
