In “Athena”, the artist fuses his classical baroque sculpture style and the drama they convey with his own style and its iconic elements. Whilst the piece is bold and dramatic, the title evokes an element of humbleness and simplicity. Named after the goddess of wisdom and military victory from Greek mythology, this original is a statement piece in any room.

The highly popular works have a contemporary, urban edge, but as an artist, Dan is hugely influenced by the creations of the Renaissance and it’s the fusion of the two different styles that make the pieces so special. Constantly constructing concepts as physical creations, Lane’s development and experimentation methods coupled with his ability to blend thematic elements, results in work that is simultaneously stylistically distinct and ever evolving.

The wall sculpture resembles the portraits of some of the most classical works from Baroque and Renaissance masters whilst featuring the artist most popular symbols - the flowers, the hummingbird and the gold elements.
