Meet the Allied Telesis DMC AT-DMC100/LC-90 Transceiver/Media Converter, a compact, desktop USB-powered Gigabit mini media converter designed to simplify network expansion without sacrificing space or performance. Built for flexibility in small offices, labs, and home setups, this plug-and-play solution bridges copper and fiber networks with ease, delivering reliable throughput in a tiny footprint. The DMC100/LC-90 is part of Allied Telesis’ acclaimed DMC series, celebrated for its ultra-compact form factor, minimal cabling, and energy-efficient operation. If you’re upgrading an existing Ethernet link or extending your network reach to fiber, this mini media converter offers a practical, space-saving option that installs in seconds and powers directly from a USB port.

  • Ultra-compact, desktop design — The DMC series is designed to fit into tight spaces on a desk, shelf, or equipment rack. With dimensions around 1.25 inches wide by 3.6 inches deep by 0.85 inches high, it disappears into your workspace while still delivering dependable performance. The tiny footprint makes it ideal for single-user workstations, point-of-sale networks, or compact server rooms where every inch matters.
  • USB-powered convenience — No bulky power brick required. The AT-DMC100/LC-90 is powered directly via USB, simplifying deployment and eliminating extra cabling. This is especially beneficial for USB-equipped computers, media centers, or conference room setups where a simple, cable-friendly solution is preferred.
  • Gigabit Ethernet bridging — Designed to support Gigabit speeds, this mini media converter provides a seamless bridge between copper Ethernet and fiber networks. It enables high-bandwidth connections with low latency, helping to future-proof small networks and ensure smooth streaming, cloud access, and file transfers across different media types.
  • RJ-45 to LC fiber connectivity — The unit features an RJ-45 copper Ethernet interface on one side and an LC fiber optic interface on the other, enabling a straightforward copper-to-fiber conversion. This makes it suitable for extending LANs to fiber runs or connecting devices that require fiber optics for longer-distance links while preserving Gigabit performance.
  • Plug-and-play reliability — No complex configuration is required. Auto-negotiation and auto-detection simplify deployment, so you can install and connect devices quickly. The minimalism of the design reduces potential points of failure, giving you a dependable, low-maintenance network bridge.

Technical Details of Allied Telesis DMC AT-DMC100/LC-90 Transceiver/Media Converter

  • Form factor: Desktop, ultra-compact mini media converter designed for space-constrained environments
  • Data rate: Gigabit Ethernet capable (1 Gbps theoretical maximum throughput typical for Gigabit mini media converters)
  • Interfaces: RJ-45 copper Ethernet port and LC fiber optic port (fiber interface allows connection to 1000BASE-LX/1000BASE-SX type links, depending on fiber and model specifics)
  • Fiber compatibility: LC connector for fiber optic cabling; compatibility can vary by fiber type (single-mode vs multi-mode) and SKU
  • LED indicators: Link/activity indicators to help verify connections and network status
  • Compatibility: Designed to operate as a straightforward copper-to-fiber media converter to extend LANs without complex configuration

How to install Allied Telesis DMC AT-DMC100/LC-90 Transceiver/Media Converter

  • Power up: Connect the DMC100/LC-90 to a USB port on your computer, switch, or power hub to supply power. Ensure the USB port provides sufficient power for stable operation.
  • Connect the copper side: Attach an Ethernet cable (RJ-45) from your network device (such as a switch, router, or computer) to the copper Ethernet port on the DMC100/LC-90.
  • Attach the fiber side: Connect your LC fiber optic cable to the LC port of the converter, ensuring compatibility with your fiber type (single-mode or multi-mode as required by your network design).
  • Verify link status: Once connected, check the LED indicators for link and activity on both sides of the device. A solid link light typically indicates a healthy connection; blinking activity indicates data transmission.
  • Test connectivity: From a connected device, test network reachability and throughput to confirm the fiber link is established correctly and performing at expected Gigabit speeds.

Very detailed! Beautiful world building! Strong Heroine!
Format: Kindle
Starts off a little slow and confusing with different POV’s, but starts to all come together towards the middle to make an elaborate plot line and makes it all worth it. Beautiful world building and attention to detail as well as great writing. The cliffhanger was gut wrenching! Can’t wait for the next book!

Interesting
Format: Kindle
This was a very captivating book once you got into it thoroughly. But the third person perspective was a bit hard to get used to. But as you got into it and followed the different characters, it was interesting and filled with intrigue, conflict and forbidden love. I can’t wait to read the next one and to complete the series.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
