Fenster's Emocean is the soundtrack to a sci-fi adventure film created by and starring the band. The music is a swirling cosmos of richly varied Post-Psychedelia, transcending the boundaries of reality and traditional pop records to join the ranks of other genre-bending music films like Daft Punk's Interstella 5555 (2003) or Prince Rama's Never Forever (2013). With Emocean, the band utilizes it's classic approach to non-traditional percussion and instrumentation, but this time ventures deeper into new territory with funky basslines (Off the Cahin) complemented by additional instruments like bass clarinet (Memories), flute (Phantasia), and modular synthesizers (Samson's Theme). Emocean is a nuanced and surprising departure from the band's first two albums, Bones (MORR 112CD/LP, 2011) and The Pink Caves (MORR 127CD/LP, 2013). The approach to this record was a more holistic exercise in collective songwriting resulting from a series of feverish jam sessions. The sounds evoke a broad spectrum of parallel universes, from soothing surfy tidal cliffs to analog synth dungeons; from interstellar purple-funk disco-techs and wobbly organs in houses of worship to acid blues parades and delicate maidens picking daisies on the moon (Les Fleurs). The most danceable track is definitely Off the Cahin, and Memories is a sun-soaked summer jam. Emocean was conceived as a conceptual soundtrack before the film's actual production and evolved into the most ambitious project the band has ever done. With a year of planning, over a month of shooting on HD and mostly VHS, a cast of over 100 actors and extras, numerous outdoor and indoor locations, the rental of an entire island for a day, drone cameras, and a self-built green-screen studio, the project is unlike anything else. It brought the band to the edge of madness. Based in Berlin and hailing from four different countries, Fenster began as a 2010 collaboration between Jonathan Jarzyna (Germany/Poland) and JJ Weihl (US), who were later joined by Lucas UFO (France) and Will Samson (UK). Fenster's first two albums garnered critical acclaim, and the band has toured extensively in the USA, UK, and 15 other countries in Europe. This release comes in advance of a planned tour featuring the band playing the soundtrack live along with screenings of the film, transforming the experience of classic silent cinema into a fantastical journey headed for the unknown.

Greasy and way too glittery.
Color: 2pc
The fine spray was nice but Way too shimmery! Looked like I left a strip club! Not a bad thing, just not 24-7

Glitter
Color: 1pc, Color: 1pc
The ingredient list checks out as a sunscreen, but for SPF 50, it seemed too watery from my observation. It was easy to apply because it’s light and watery, but I doubt it’s as effective as it should be. This glowing and lightweight sunscreen also has a faint watermelon like scent, and all those nice oil based ingredients moisturized my skin well. The spray is convenient and easy to use, and I like that about it. However, I am just not a big fan of glittery stuff. Whether it’s on a Christmas card or on my skin, whether I like it or not, it will end up being eaten or breathed in one way or another. Overall, this is an okay product, and I really wish it didn’t have glitter in it.

Summer ready
Color: 1pc, Color: 1pc
This is very cute sheer mist for all over body. I’m not sure if it really works as sunscreen because I feel it too watery to apply it nicely all over. I definitely don’t intend to use it as facial sunscreen (I’m trying to protect my face from more dark spots). The mist is very sparkly and I love it. Once sprayed it provides sparkly finish and it looks nice. There’s no smell (or very very mild one) and it absorbs really fast due to it being very watery. Now as someone mentioned the spray part is a bit annoying- it leaves patches of watery spray instead of fine mist. You definitely need to tap it in after spraying which is a bit annoying. I’ll definitely use this as part of my pool/beach routine - probably on top of “normal” sunscreen for all over my body. It adds a bit of hydration too which is nice.

Too Strongly Fragranced and Poor Spray Application
Color: 1pc
I did not care for this product. The fragrance is far too strong for something intended to be used on the face, and it becomes overwhelming quickly.
The nozzle is also a major issue—it doesn’t deliver a fine mist like a setting spray should. Instead, it kind of splats product onto the face, which makes even application difficult and defeats the purpose of a setting spray.
While it does technically set makeup and add a bit of shimmer, the drawbacks are significant enough that I personally would not use it again.

Nice Concept, But Coverage Feels Uneven
Color: 1pc
I really like the idea of this sunscreen setting mist and I do like that it gives the skin a subtle sparkle/glowy finish. That said, the spray itself doesn’t feel evenly distributed, and it dries almost immediately, so there’s no time to blend or redistribute the product. I find myself spraying multiple times from different angles before I feel like my skin is actually covered and protected. It’s pretty and convenient in theory, but I’m not fully confident in the level of sun protection it provides.
