Our cotton hand woven throw design features complex graphic patterns, with irregular
stripes composed of chevron background weaves. Wonderful to add textural depth in a
living room, or as bed throw, with a visibly bold, modern artisan look, and with a hand
twisted fringe adding the finishing touch.

Handloom textiles have been woven by generations of Sri Lankan villagers, using
techniques originally taught by temple priests. Our textiles are hand made by our
gifted artisan weavers in Divulapitiya, on simple wooden frames, weaving by
treading pedals to lift the warp threads, while feeding the bobbin through the
weft with amazing dexterity. 

We have made a long term commitment to design training within the community,
to embrace the continuity of the craft, and bring new life to this ancient tradition,
by blending authentic weaves with contemporary design.
