Presenting this beautiful kitchen towel adorned with the image of The Old Temple from 1787/88 by French artist, Hubert Robert. Robert traveled through Italy for over a decade and painted many landscapes and views from his journeys. Interestingly, just painting regular landscapes wasn't as interesting to Robert. He specialized in what's known as "capricci", or fantasized landscape/architectural idealizations. He wanted to capture a specific effect versus get tiny details correct, and he became known very well as one of France's landscape artists and garden designers. He had a unique taste for all things antique; thus, he was well known for his ability to portray the magic in architectural ruins. This was quite popular and desired in the late 18th century. Robert completed thousands of works throughout his lifetime, and the beauty of his paintings continues to shine through.

 Not only does it have a captivating one-sided print, but it's also a friendly helper in the kitchen. Definitely a statement piece and a conversation starter.
