Yellowjacket synthesizer is a stunning value-packed tribute to the venerable Wasp synthesizer, released by the British synth company EDP in 1978. Cherry Audio has reproduced the singular buzzy tone and drone of this legendary monophonic, digital/analog hybrid, from its quirky oscillators to its distinctive filter. Further influenced by the pioneering spirit of its inventors, we've added several innovative features to Yellowjacket, reenvisioning what could have been. These include elements of other EDP instruments, unison and 16-voice polyphony, emulation of the Wasp's integrated speaker, an expanded multimode filter, and a new-to-Cherry advanced arpeggiator with probability and humanise controls.

Cherry Audio has replicated the look of the notorious touch-capacitive yellow and black keyboard of the original, enhanced it with diatonic scales and transpose, and extended it with customizable pressure control with support for expressive channel and polyphonic aftertouch. Perhaps the most exciting feature of Yellowjacket is directly inspired by EDP's innovative pre-MIDI system that allowed multiple synths to be chained together: multi-voice modes that add adjustable "mini synths" that can provide subtle or extreme variation in tone, single-fingered chords and arpeggiated patterns, lush stereo effects, and more.

    Yellowjacket Features:

    • All aspects of the 1978 EDP Wasp monophonic synthesizer have been precisely modeled in exacting detail, and enhanced with several imaginative new features.
    • Over 270 professionally-designed presets in a dozen categories: sizzling Leads, sublime Arps, atmospheric Pads, single-fingered Chords, stunning Strings, deep Basses, and more.
    • Monophonic, unison, polyphonic (4, 8, or 16 voices), and cycle voice modes with glide.
    • Innovative Multi voice modes for unison, poly, and cycle that add per-note variation by adding three additional "mini synth" panels, each with their own pitch, pan, filter
    • frequency, VCA Envelope Attack, and VCA Envelope Release settings.
    • Quick-access Multi voice panel presets such as Hard Panned, Slightly Detuned, Well Worn, and more to simulate subtle or extreme variations between multiple chained synths.
    • Dual panel views with a main Edit view for synthesis controls, and an Arp/FX panel with extended features.
    • Two distinct oscillators with ramp, pulse, square wave, and an enhanced modulated pulse-wave based on the EDP Gnat.
    • Oscillator sync.
    • Mixer for both oscillators and a white noise signal generator.
    • Syncable control oscillator (LFO) with free and retrigger modes, and sine, ramp, sawtooth, square, noise, or random waveforms for pitch, filter, and amp modulation.
    • Vintage-correct two-pole 12dB state-variable filter based upon the CD4069 logic chip of the original, with lowpass, bandpass, or highpass, with an extra notch mode, and the"Q"resonance setting.
    • Two envelope generators: a VCA Envelope for volume control with a repeat function, and a Control Envelope that modulates filter cutoff frequency with positive and negative modulation, as well as looping and adjustable attack settings.
    • Output control with meter and settings for volume, panning, master tune, and limiter.
    • Support for velocity, channel aftertouch, and polyphonic aftertouch with compatible USB/MIDI controllers.
    • Keyboard pressure control with six modulation routings: volume, pitch, filter cutoff, mod wheel, reverb decay/mix, and an assignable control that allows a user to select any one of 29 preset synth and effects parameters.
    • Enhanced capacitive-style keyboard with root and diatonic scales controls, and a transpose control that quantizes notes from the USB/MIDI controller
    • Multi-touch enabled (Windows only) - capacitive-style keyboard and pressure meters on the keys respond to multi-touch vertical motion on compatible touchscreen monitors and gesture-capable tablet devices such as Surface Pro. UI can be Maximized to make Yellowjacket fullscreen.
    • User-selectable pitch bend depth from 0-12 semitones.
    • All new and dynamic arpeggiator with Chance (step probability) and Humanise to add degrees of randomness to arpeggiated patterns. Combine with the Cycle modes and Scales to create varied patterns, even with the touch of a single key, and create transposable four-note step sequences through Multi voice panels.
    • Speaker effect (mono) with Hiss and Hum controls that simulates the original instrument's onboard speaker for a lo-fi tone.
    • Five more studio-quality integrated effects: new Octafuzz multimode overdrive/distortion effect, 4/6/8/10-stage Phaser, Flanger/Chorus, three syncable Echo delays, and five Reverb types.
    • Global FX Out panel with On/Off, Level, and Stereo Expand.
    • Standalone virtual instrument and plug-in versions included.
    • Super accurate DAW sync.
    • User-adjustable oversampling control.
    • Complete MIDI control and DAW automation for all controls, with easy-to-use MIDI learn and mapping (Preset and Global).
    • Cherry Audio's popular Focus zoom-in feature, as well as standard UI zoom and resize via drag.

    decent…but
    Format: Kindle
This is my first book from this author, and while I do really love omegaverse stories, this one left a lot to be desired. This book is a hard-core slow, slow, slow burn: (75% or later in the book) I will say that I finished it. Unfortunately, I struggled through a lot of it due to punctuation errors, and general editing that must have been looked over during the revision process. I also feel like a lot of information was left out and there wasn’t closure regarding her parents. The dynamic of the pack before Lydia joined is a little confusing, the only person who showed affection towards Elias was the Head alpha. The other two seemed indifferent to him in an intimate relationship way. That doesn’t really scream cohesive pack to me. I am hopeful that the next book in the series is better edited, and that the author decides not to use the same phrases over and over again. I’m pretty sure “honey-warm” was mentioned over 15 times when describing Elias’s scent. That got really old, really fast. Overall, it was a decent book. Not sure I would read it again or recommend it until of these errors are remedied.

    Definitely a comfort read
    Format: Kindle
Just a comfy cozy nice long read. While this is definitely a SLOOOOOOOOWWWWW burn, this is how you do RH right; a nice long novel where you actually get to know the characters so you can feel more connected to them & the story, not to mention getting enough time to actually remember all their names haha. & they are all consent kings. Also I do so love me some double omega OV, siiiigh (heart eyes). I wish there had been juuust a bit more spice, like maybe just between Elias & others before MC was ready (made Elias feel a bit underdone or gimmicky without it), I did love this read. Low stress, comfy read. It could've used another round of editing for some minor errors & type issues but it wasn't bad enough to pull ne out of the story. Though I did giggle at 'knecks', thinking kuh-necks in my head. Overall I'd say 9/10

    beautiful story
    Format: Kindle
I absolutely love this book, however there is quite a bit repetition! The storyline makes up for it, a just skipped them. I like that this was a cozy read, it’s an omegaverse romance, but really barely read as OV, you get a little hierarchy and scent blockers, but if not for that you wouldn’t know. I love the romance aspect however, they take there time and move at her pace! A good read, with some errors, hopefully there is more to come!!

I loved the concept of the story but it went no where painfully slow! There was so much repetition that I skimmed and only paid attention whenever I saw quotation marks. I need...yes we know what you need....said 125 times grew frustrating and tiresome! And what does progressive mean in this boom? There are 3 alphas and 2 omegas...is that different or is it bc of the 3 alphas and Lucian was the really alpha one. The sex was very disappointing too....very G rated in my spice level. There is no epilogue and I think it was like 80 something chapters! I should have read the reviews but the sample got me good! What does soren do for a living? Are the men sexual w eachother bc they did not show that in this story if you are worried about that. It was jus so painstakingly slooowwwwww!!! I get why but dang! Just beware g rated and slow paced w alot of repetition!

    It's great but be warned...
    Format: Kindle
I enjoyed the idea of this story. I really did! The story was great, the characters were great, and I had a decent enough time reading. I did however, find myself forcing myself to finish this and skimming through a lot of the series. The pacing was slow which is fine, but it was repetitive. Every single conversation Lydia had with these men always had to have some deeper meaning. Even when I thought there would be a light hearted reprieve, it always ended with another lecture or bit of advice. It felt like I was watching her interact with her multitude of therapists than men she was being courted by. I understand this was a path of healing for her but it got very old very fast. It felt excessive in every way to me and this aspect never changed throughout the entire story. Imagine reading an overly inspirational self help book where they tried to make it interesting by throwing in romance? Which again, could work in many cases but it was so excessive to me. That being said, I still think it was a great story and I think everyone should give this a chance!
