That’s what SB2 Noah Tobin always said—whether he was knee-deep in the grind of training, out on the water, or just joking around with friends. For most, it’s a phrase you throw out with a smirk. But for Noah, it was more than that. It was a mindset. A reminder to push forward with purpose, stay grounded, and never take the moment for granted—no matter how tough things got.

SB2 Noah M. Tobin enlisted in the United States Navy in October 2021 from Valley
Center, CA, and attended recruit training at Recruit Training Command on Naval Station
Great Lakes. After graduating from recruit training, SB2 Tobin attended Navy Basic
Special Warfare Training in Coronado, CA, from December 2021 to November 2023
and graduated in SWCC Class 127. SB2 Tobin was then assigned to Special Boat Team
TWENTY in Virginia Beach, VA. SB2 Tobin was selected to fill a gaped position and
deploy with Coastal Troop THREE in support a maritime operations. SB2 Tobin was
killed during training on July 2, 2025, in Porterville, CA. He was laid to rest at Fort
Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA, alongside his grandfather, grandmother,
and uncle.
