10830NAT course background & history

Around half of the compositions in earth's crust contain silicon dioxide. Crystalline Silica, also known as soil, sand or granite, is also present in stone, grout and bitumen, rock and gravel, cement and mortar, clay, engineered stone, and stone.

Quartz is the most prevalent form of crystalline silica. Tridymite or Cristobalite is another form of crystalline silicon. These three forms may all become respirable sizes particles when workers cut, drill or grind objects that have crystalline silicona. Silica is a general term that refers to crystalline silica, which includes crystalline quartz.

Since stone masonry began and the mining of silica, it has been a serious health risk.

A rising number of people affected by working with respirable, crystalline silica is making it a pressing issue. Australia and other countries are seeing an increase in the incidence of silicosis in workers who work in mining, construction, or with engineered rock.

Why should you complete the 10830NAT Silica Exposure Prevention Course?

Simply put, while it is not required by legislation in the ACT at the moment, it will soon be a requirement for all workers on construction sites.

  7. Ceramics
  8. Brick and tile manufacturing

  12. Quarrying

As per the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 all PCBUs have a duty to ensure that workers who are concerned about working with asbestos-containing or asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), attend an approved course in asbestos awareness.

WorkSafe ACT now requires workers to complete the 10675NAT course in Asbestos Awareness as well as CPCCWHS1001 Prepare for work in the construction trade. However, there are no requirements for 10830NAT. Many industry experts believe that the 10830NAT course in Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention is going to be compulsory.

Feels good on the skin not greasy
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Very nice product very concentrated has a very light fragrance that dissipates very quickly not greasy. No I do not have any redness or sensitivity I wanted to try this product anyway because I'm always looking for moderately priced good quality that travels well. And this fit the bill especially with it being on sale.

Good product , but
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
It seems to be a good product and it’s not too heavy , but still caused few breakouts here and there . Also, Avenue always has protective foil on their cream , this one didn’t have (I replaced it but new one also didn’t have it). Also, it goes away really fast because it’s only 1.3 ounces.

Gold Star

This cream is truly gentle and healing for a compromised skin barrier. I prefer this cream in the winter, when the weather is dry, and after procedures like microneedling or laser. It has never irritated my skin, and does soothe and heal. The La Roche Posay cicalfate cream is also excellent, I think it is slightly less rich, so I prefer that in humidity or the summer.

Overpriced but it works.
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I hate that I love this product. It's stupid expensive. But it's great for broken/damaged/recovering skin. I've used it post microneedling and it is the only thing that soothes, hydrates, and doesn't sting raw, red skin. Great for rashes/hives and allergic reactions too. Luckily a thin layer is often enough to do the trick. so it lasts a long time I wouldn't use for everyday moisture, but when your skin is angry, this stuff works. (Overpriced? Yes. Witchcraft? Maybe. Does it work? Yep.)
