The Quick Ship Stemlite Wall Lamp by Gubi is a remastered version of the iconic Stemlite, originally designed by Bill Curry in 1962. This pioneering lamp introduced a new typology with a single self-contained unit comprising interchangeable modules, revolutionizing traditional lamp design.
Named "most influential lamp of the year" by Industrial Design Magazine in 1965 and famously used on the set of the original Star Trek TV series, the Stemlite has now been revived by GUBI in a contemporary yet authentic color palette.
The collection features two table lamps, two floor lamps, and a new pendant, all staying true to Curry's original designs. The lamp range includes various heights, with the addition of a taller floor lamp and an innovative pendant light that ingeniously flips the original design upside-down.
GUBI has ensured the contemporary safety requirements by incorporating hidden counterweights for stability, and also offers versions of the floor and pendant lights with new larger globes.
