Mahogany is chosen for the exterior for its density, resistance, and warm reflections that develop a patina over time. It is the wood of quality furniture and musical instruments — it gives the Ariston its reassuring presence and weight.

Spanish cedar lines the interior for its active preservation properties. Its hygroscopic fibers naturally regulate humidity. Its aromatic terpenes gradually enrich the cigars. And it repels the tobacco beetle — the harmful insect capable of destroying a collection in a few weeks.

Distilled water only: refill the humidifier with distilled water — never tap water, which causes calcification and contamination. Refill as soon as the digital hygrometer drops below 65%. The integrated thermometer also allows you to check that the temperature remains between 16 °C and 20 °C.

Indicative capacity: 55 and 115 cigars are approximate capacities for standard formats (Robusto, Corona). Large ring gauges (Gordo, 60+ cepo) reduce the effective capacity. A seasoning of 24 to 48 hours is recommended before the first loading.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
