How to install Black Box Secure KVM Switch - DVI-I

Installing the Black Box Secure KVM Switch is straightforward and designed to minimize disruption to existing workflows. Follow these guidelines to achieve a stable, secure setup that’s ready for mission‑critical operations.

  • Place the KVM switch in a secure, accessible location near the users and the systems it will control. Ensure adequate clearance for ventilation and cable management to reduce wear and accidental pulls.
  • Connect each computer’s video output to the switch’s DVI‑I input ports using high‑quality DVI cables. Use appropriate length cables to maintain signal integrity while keeping cables organized and away from heat sources or interference.
  • Connect the switch’s DVI‑I video output to the display monitor(s) that will serve as the console. If you operate with multiple displays, configure the appropriate output paths per your video topology and EDID requirements.
  • Attach USB keyboard and mouse to the switch’s USB ports. If a USB peripheral hub is available on the switch, you can connect additional devices to share peripherals across the protected hosts without crossing data paths.
  • Power the unit using its power supply and verify that the switch powers on correctly. Watch for startup LEDs or indicators that confirm the device is ready and that ports are correctly enumerating on connected hosts.
  • Configure any security settings or management software as dictated by your organization’s policy. If the device supports hot‑key switching, familiarize users with the key sequences to switch between sources quickly and securely.

Cover too loose.
Size: 300A Fuse Holder
Nice looking, decent quality, versatile for different gauges. My only complaint with this holder is the cover doesn’t stay on very well, bought 3, and all 3 pop off easily, you will need to zip tie on.

Great quality! Sounds great and we’ll built!
I’ve owned a couple of these larger Bluetooth “party” speakers and this is by far the best sounding and well built one I’ve owned. The last one I bought was made by Ion and was much larger, but I think this one sounds WAY better and just looks and feels like quality. The Ion just felt cheap and it died just after the warranty period (of course) It wouldn’t power up anymore even when plugged into a wall outlet. The light show is killer in this if you’re out by the pool at night. I almost forgot to mention, this thing is very lightweight, so easy to carry around. It’s a winner.

Highs Muddled (XL)
As much as I wanted to love the new Klipsch party speakers, there are better options. I purchased this with the JBL Encore Essential (which you can pick up for fifty bucks less right now), and the JBL won, hands down. Even the heft and finishes of the JBL are superior. Both speakers are approximately equally loud. However, the JBL had boomier and punchier bass, with twice the number of boost options (2 vs 1) as the Klipsch. But the Klipsch really struggled with the highs with its one teeter - the smaller, doubled tweeters of the JBL are immensely cleaner and clearer. Long story short, as much as I wanted this speaker to be awesome, Klipsch leaves a lot to be desired here compared to JBL.
