The Middle Atlantic 26RU Rackrails for CWR Series Racks in the 12-24 threaded configuration deliver a robust, dependable mounting solution for professional AV and IT gear. Engineered as a heavy-gauge pairing, these rack rails are designed to withstand the rigors of demanding environments—from busy broadcast suites to data centers and conference facilities—while keeping equipment secure and properly aligned. With a 26RU capacity in mind, this rail set is tailored to Middle Atlantic’s CWR series, offering precise fit and solid support for equipment that spends long hours in operation, racks that see frequent access, and configurations that demand stable, vibration-resistant mounting. The rails are sold in pairs, ensuring you have a matched, symmetric installation ready for top-to-bottom or side-to-side mounting. If your goal is to maximize rack integrity and maintain clean, professional equipment alignment, these rails are a dependable choice.

  • Designed for 26RU CWR Series racks: These rails are specifically sized to work with Middle Atlantic CWR racks, delivering an optimized fit that aligns with the rack’s rails, mounting holes, and overall footprint for a clean, professional install.
  • Heavy-gauge steel construction: Built to endure heavy use, the rails provide rigid support to resist flex and sag, helping to protect valuable equipment such as multi-slot servers, power distribution units, network switches, and audio/video processors.
  • 12-24 threaded mounting: The 12-24 threading ensures broad compatibility with a wide range of equipment and accessories that use standard 12-24 fasteners, making it easier to secure a diverse mix of devices without adapters or custom hardware.
  • Sold in pairs for secure, symmetrical mounting: Each purchase includes two rails, enabling balanced, stable installations that keep equipment square and secure across the full height of the rack.
  • Enhanced reliability and alignment: The pair-and-rail design distributes weight evenly and preserves precise alignment between equipment, improving airflow, cable management, and serviceability in high-demand environments.

How to Install Middle Atlantic 26RU Rackrails

  • Prepare the rack: Confirm that your CWR rack is correctly assembled and that you have access to the mounting points that align with the 26RU rail positions. Clear the area and ensure the rack is stable before you begin.
  • Align the rails with the mounting holes: Hold one rail alongside the rack’s side or front mounting area and align the 12-24 threaded holes with the corresponding holes on the rack rails. Check that both rails are level and parallel to each other for a straight, true installation.
  • Attach the rails to the rack: Begin by securing the rails at the top, bottom, or mid-level mounting points using standard rack hardware compatible with 12-24 threading. Tighten hardware evenly to avoid any tilt or binding, ensuring the rails stay square during tightening.
  • Verify alignment and rigidity: Once both rails are secured, gently test for wobble and confirm that the rails run true from top to bottom. Re-tighten any fasteners if necessary to eliminate play and ensure a solid mounting surface for your equipment.
  • Mount equipment and secure: Slide your devices into the rails and fasten them to the mounting holes using appropriate screws or thumbscrews. Confirm that cables and components have sufficient clearance for easy insertion and removal without binding.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What does 12-24 threading mean for these rails? A: The 12-24 thread specification refers to the screw size used to mount equipment or accessories. This is a common, widely compatible thread pattern in rack hardware, allowing broad compatibility with standard rack devices and accessories.
  • Q: Are the rails sold as a single unit or in pairs? A: The Middle Atlantic 26RU Rackrails for CWR Series Racks are sold in pairs, providing symmetrical support for mounting equipment and maintaining rack integrity from both ends of the rail set.
  • Q: What rack units do these rails support? A: These rails are designed for 26RU configurations within Middle Atlantic CWR Series racks, offering a precise fit for that specific rack height and performance profile.
  • Q: What kind of equipment is best suited for these rails? A: Heavy-gauge, professional AV and IT equipment that benefits from secure, stable mounting—such as servers, network gear, audio processing units, and other sturdy components—will perform well with these rails due to their robust construction and reliable mounting.
  • Q: Do these rails improve rack stability? A: Yes. The heavy-gauge rails and paired installation help distribute weight more evenly, reduce rack sag, and maintain alignment, contributing to long-term stability and improved airflow around installed gear.
  • Q: How should I install them with standard rack hardware? A: Use the standard rack screws recommended for 12-24 threading and Middle Atlantic hardware guidelines. Ensure rails are level, securely fastened at mounting points, and that installed devices do not impede cable access or airflow.

Inexpensive doesn’t mean cheap.
Color: Black/Orange
After 10 months, zero complaints. Well, I got rid of the horrible NATO strap 🙄. That’s a personal preference. Easy to swap out to whatever you like. Keeps accurate time meaning it’s the same time. I’m not micro analyzing it and the seconds gained/lost. It has a confident look and feel and makes you feel good when wearing it. Sure it’s not high priced but it’s not cheap. Very comfortable, light and not unincumbered. If this is what you’re looking at, you’d be satisfied. Great looking, durable and simple watch. Full confidence.

Budget Seiko Prospex this is not
Color: Black/Orange
Bought this as a cheap work watch, but I guess all the budget went into the solar technology. No date adjust feature, gotta crank the crown over and over to adjust the date. (Also no screw-down crown, but that's expected at this price) Fake diver bezel. Lol why? Cringe as heck. Should of just put a compass bezel on there instead tbh. Cheap plastic crystal, scratches and mars just by looking at it. Okay NATO strap. Falls apart quickly, but it's easily replaceable with a better quality one. Decent lume on the hands, but none on the hour markers even though it looks like there is. Looks cool.

Simplicity
Color: Black/Orange
This watch was received exactly as advertised. First off the watch is economical compared to other watches that advertise the same details. I will say that I have gone through numerous Luminox watches only to be disappointed. This watch fits the bill. It does have solar cells which mean it needs to be exposed to light to keep running, not a problem. Three minutes under my surefire light I am golden. The bezel doesn't rotate actually no big deal for me. I have always required that the bezel moves not anymore after having a bezel that rotates I use it next to never. Here's why, the more I rotate the bezel the more the numbers wear off. The strap on the watch with the catches for the strap are perfect. They actually hold the watch strap in place in lieu of like other big name brands that just flop and slide. As far as everyday use goes this watch is my go to. To be honest I have purchased three. This is the only watch I will wear moving forward, yeah the glass my scratch but even the big names like the Luminox I spoke of earlier scratches too.

Great material. Sadly no pocket
The fit is not tailored. So if you are slim around the waist it will feel baggy. But enough material to tuck in or go around a large waist. The material is not stiff. Wash and dried on warm. This has been worn 2 times. If you take it out of dryer and hang up, the wrinkles come right out! The only drawback: No pocket. My wife didn't notice when she ordered, we threw package away otherwise would return, because it was a little pricey. But nice clean look!
