All surfaces are maple hardwood veneer including the 1" thick sides. The hardwood maple has no seams, voids or knots of any kind.
All side edges are veneered with maple hardwood and finely sanded. There is no plywood edge to be seen on the sides.
Art Boards™ Maple Cradled Panels have dovetail hanging slots routed into the cradle. Art will hang perfectly flush to the wall in either direction without the need of framing. Art can also be hung from the lip of the cradle.
There are no formaldehydes added to any of the art panel's materials. There will be no out gassing onto the art, or the environment.
The rigid maple painting surface is finely sanded and perfect for all painting mediums including: oils, acrylics, egg tempera, encaustic, pastels, frescoes, colored pencil, charcoal, pastels, gouache, Collage, airbrush, mounting of prints, works on paper, icons, mosaics, and more.
The panel has a 10 layer void free construction. Each layer is glued, pressed, and laminated using a formaldehyde free adhesive.
